Hmm she reminds me of a hot BLM i used to party with. Anyway I liked the scythe back in the day, for some reason, the additional effect worked for me on every first hit for me. Maybe its luck or maybe its because im elvaan. It was my halloween costume along with a tunic.

I went there as 36mnk/war and started to kill ever cardian in the area (ugly cards) walked over to one of the doors and opend it seeing him i was like "nice sythe, i think ill take it" ran at him with 300% tp hi him twice un loaded a combo hit him again and he was dead. got drop to :D
in the time it takes for you to complain about prices/gil sellers/NM camping you chould have made 100k..... stop whineing and do something about it.

I am going to camp Dio for it just to know I did.
Caught some hell with this guy. My sneak attack missed, and bloody bolts don't drain Dio.
So i spammed acid bolts in between knife swings, hit him with a Gust Slash at full tp, and had to use perfect dodge. Beat him with about 100 hp left. Got the scythe and a revival tree root on my first try fighting him. If you go in as a rng or have rng subbed, go ahead and kill some of the cardians. Makes it alot easier to scroll through your scan list.

Okay, I may be mistaken, but this board's topic is Cruel Scythe - not Aspir, Drain, how you got fame in Selbina, or the inflation that I am *so* tired of everyone complaining about, especially out of topic.

You get Aspir from a quest in windy, u get Drain from a quest in sandy.

Ouch, you bought Aspir? That's rough. You can actually get Aspir through a quest in Sandy I believe. I may be wrong but it's in Chateau. I plan on doing it for my BLM. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Wow, I bought the test answers for aspir quest at 5k on Odin (to lazy to chase them down). You got hosed buying the spell itself.

I really like this scythe, so far its the evasion down has come in handy a couple a times ^^. i would recomend it, and in Jeuno on the shiva server it only sells for 9k! the same as the other scyhe (lvl 18) does!...well worth getten

At level 20, this was my favorite weapon.... aside from my GS.
This dealt steady damage, and at times, incredibly destructive blows! If you are planning on becoming a DRK, I strongly suggest you save up and buy a Cruel Scythe and Mercanary Captain's Scythe ahead of time.

Destroyed him as 40 SAM/THF
he managed to pop me for about 300dmg though over course of fight. Started the fight with sneak+enpi and he only took about 270 damage (looked like just under 1/3 his HP) goblins of his supposed level take 350ish from sneak enpi with 100% tp.

well spent a good 3 hours killing the balloons until finally got one of the NM spawns, but much to my dismay it was doppelganger Gog >.< which i heard was the rarest of the 3, alas he took my lvl 30 thf down just, due to using Dimension death about twice in a row. in the end it was a who ever hits next wins situation, which i lost =(

How hard is he to solo? What level should you be to do so? I stumbled upon him with my THF when I was about 20 and he wrecked me in two hits, each for over 200 damage.

I soloed the Doppelganger Dio when I was WAR32 and got the scythe on my first try. He only took out 30% of my HP. Most of his attacks were weak (relatively with my level), but his "death dimension" spell will critical you (took 150-200 damage from my HP). Don't regard to the "lv.23-25" source. This NM has to be around lv.27 because my HP would've gone to the red zone if I hadn't used my 2-hour.

Yea I can confirm he drops a Revival tree root for the paladin quest or for alchemy, havent gotten him to drop the scythe yet :(

doesn't drop the scythe everytime, i faught him twice in a 24 hour period with no drops. he also dropped for me a revival tree root or something which i've heard is part of the paladin quest
