just wanted to note to jonprophet and anyone else that might be confused that it doesnt require a gold sub. The reason why you failed even though your smithing was above cap is that your wood is like 16 lvl's under the yew lumber cap. so get your WW Up so you can handle yew, and you should be good to go. good luck :)

This item has to involve some Goldsmithing or woodworking. I'm 46 Smithing and 6 woodworking. I failed 2 consecutive attempts. I did it on Iceday w/o support. I should have atleast completed one synth.
