Well he's spawned for me every hour in the hallway to the left of the area marked. I am 0/5 on the blade but 5/5 on the Barbarian's sword. Lets hope this next one is my lucky one.

Every now and again, I get the itch to not want to spend gil and take a shot at an NM drop. Last night was one of those itches. Ran into Oz... killed a few Yags in area NM was supposed to pop. 15mins later NM pops, I pop the NM, the NM drops the Demonic Sword.

This sword costed me 22K on Cerberus and the prices went up so sold it for 30K, but anyway when i used it it dealt the darkness damage maybe 5% of the time and did 5-9 darkness included with the 40-70 it did on VT-IT. its not a bad sword. i would recomend the barberians sword if you have accuracy boost.

This thing never drops apparently. I got the NM to pop twice now in 3 hours and it's only dropped the Barbarian's sword. I'm MNK/THF as well.
this stupid sword is 80k on my server and there are barely ever any in the AH!!!!!!!!
When I bought this sword it didn't seem to do me any good. It looks nice and all but Barbarian's Sword does more damage.
GS Skill = 94
Barbarian = 75+ damage
Demonic = 55+ damage
Mercenary Cpt's Scythe or Barbarian in my opinion. Test it for yourself. Barbarian's only cost about 6k. make sure Scythe and GS skills are equal to get accurate results. Check your ATK too.
Merc Cpt = 175 ATK, 450~ Delay (?)
Barbarian = 200 ATK, 444 Delay
Demonic = 180 ATK, 520~ Delay (?)
Delay accounts for ATK as well because it bases the dmg over time as a value.

Love these types of greatswords, not only does it give the darkness damage as an effect, but it just looks like an all around bad *** sword, my personal favorite class great sword ^^

There are four weapons that deal out darkness elemented damage. Six if you count the HQ versions of two of them.
A l'Outrance (scythe)

Demonslicer (Lv55 scythe) also deals darkness damage.
I've bought this sword (haven't used it yet), it seems perfect for me as a DRK since it does Darkness Damage, and since I'm a Dark Knight, it seems natural and bad ***. How many weapons actually do Darkness damage? Though someone should post a correction on the weapon stats since it doesn't state the darkness damage.

Hmm, only other weapon I can think of that does Darkness damage ath the moment is the Dark Staff [and it's HQ version.]

Like many others i havent actually killed this NM many times, 5 i can remember. Most likly soloed it with my 65 blm cant really remember but never got this swords as a drop.

yea, that's about right, i think it goes for 20k in sandy, 40k in windy, 20-30k in bastok on Siren

i've seen people use this... i want it now not for me (drg) but for my war... though axes are better i like this one a bit more.
