Combat Caster's Axe I got Rank 7 in Windurst and im trying to get this Axe...
The NPC doesnt have it listed.. It is part of the requirement to be able and purchase this axe that Windurst has to be First in Conquest?
Right now in Conquest:
1. San'd Oria
2. Windurst
3. Bastok
please help :\

It's amazing how much has changed since Thousandarm made his post in 2004. people used to think STR was so important for melee. Attack was so underrated back in the day. While STR has its uses (mainly for WS), ATT > STR for regular hits. These axes are exceptional @ lvl 40 and they are great for exp, 40 capped mission (Phomiuna aquaducts etc.), and 40 capped ballista. This axe is good stuff, you'll want to keep it (or them) in your mog house or on your mule for quite sometime. Oh and it sells for 150,000 now.

rangers arent nerfed you actually have to use your mind to level it now thats all. Just make sure you are far enough away where you can att and do most dmg i havent noticed a majotr dif at all

I'll be using one of each, this along with the War AF1 thanks. At 50, having 2 axes will really start to make a difference with the second Dual Weild add. I can't wait. Who-da though SE wanted War to be SO powerful, wonderful tanks and Great DD too. Spend a lil money on some gear and I beat out 90% of all other melee out there.. Especially after this new RangAtt/Acc update... Sorry RNG, your time has passed! (Don't get Upset I have that lvled too.) Look for more Fighters AF runnin around kids, we're taking over!

This isn't better then the warrior AF.
The damage is only one higher, but Razor has a bit less delay, so that pretty much evens out.
The +2 dex raises accuracy and critical hit rate, and the +2 str raises min and max damage. Atk is nothing without str. Warriors need more str then atk.

Welll if ur WAR/NIN as most WARs are nowadays you can use one of each and get attack+5, STR=2 AND DEX+2, I never thought WAR/NIN would be good, but now looking at these stat bonuses on all the axses i might try it.

It's the other way around, str is useless unless you have attack to break the enemies defense. Dmg is also important and it has 2 more then AF.
