Read the post by Saiyou for your delay chart. Other problem with these ISN't damage over time. While its low, it's a hell of a lot of it with pretty much the best ACC you could have. The problem? WEAPONSKILL DAMAGE SUCKS. That's all, take it from a 59MNK.

Been using a pair of these with my Monk and they absolutely rule for soloing. In the time it took to solo 10-11 I didn't get any invites so I didn't get to test them in a pt before I loged. I do have a pair of the Bastok CP Knucks with me in case their not all that great in a pt.
But I'll say this... 100 fists was amazing with these. I thought it was fast before but O.O It was on fire... At 18 I plan on going nuts on some VT to IT mob with these. I'll have Martial Arts 2, Purple Belt with haste, kick on the 100 fists and have a Whm friend haste me and make sure I don't actually die in my crazy venture. Should be fun ^.^

i'm not sure if that works actually... i belive 100 fists makes you delay as low as possible in the first place, so this would equal bad, (with the exception of the huge accuracy boost).

Ahahaha, good luck. It's best to go for weapons with the least delay. Also, if you sub thf, you can have more dex, and watch the fists fly as you knock their lights out!
At level 22 I still use Tropical Punches +1 (I could afford the 100k to go the extra mile) I use food and have about +16 strength when I exp pt. Also, the +12 (or 10 from regular version) Accuracy is irreplacable at this level. I plan on using them until my damabe per hit becomes too much of a problem. 0 DLY and +12 Accuracy.... what self-respecting monk wouldn't want that? =P

No, that just means using this H2H weapon adds nothing to the overhead of H2H. The base H2H delay is something like 360 (I'm not totaly sure, but its in the 300s), and when using these, it stays at that base.

well actally the base delay is 480 wel ok ill make a chart:
HTH Delay = 480 HTH Delay with Martial Arts I(lvl1)= 400 HTH Delay with Martial Arts II(lvl16)= 380 HTH Delay with Martial Arts III(lvl31)= 360 HTH Delay with Martial Arts IV(lvl46)= 340 HTH Delay with Martial Arts V(lvl61)= 320 HTH Delay with Martial Arts VI(lvl75)= 300
as u can see we Monks get pretty quick with our HTH attacks around lvl 61. Thanx to Akumu X(my role model Monk) for this info in his guide.

im on Garuda server i want them badly i can pay 9-11k but if anyone wanna trade me i got some good armor i dont use anyne more if anyone has them /tell Veika ^.^ Please
I recently started a new character to level up if I get bored of working on my current character and I'm about to hit level 10 mnk. I'm playing as a galka and I plan on getting these. I think that as a galka with high str and eating food, hitting more often will make up for the +3 dmg I would get from using a different weapon. But again I'm only considering them because I'm a galka. If I were mithra or Hume I doubt I would bother. I plan on using them until level 18 ish, unless I see a dramatic decrease in my dmg, hopefully since I eat mith kabobs even at low levels I'll be wanted in parties :P

Posted:Jun 24 2004 at 11:56 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) With the bad damage on these a pair of kingdom cesti or San diorian cesti is much better, look at them, they can easily be better because they only have like 6 less accuracy and I still hit almost everytime.
I am a level 36 Monk named Randwolf on the Sylph server. I just added the Tropical Punches to my arsenal. When I go out leveling, I take between 3 and 4 different weapons and attempt to fit the weapon to the prey. Because I am wearing my RSE, I'm Taru, I found the Tropical Punches to be a nice match to the strength bonus I get from my armor. I also usually carry a Poison Cesti +1, Fire Cesti, and Lynx Baghnakhs. I need to get a set of the Sonic Knuckles for wind damage. Anyway, I will switch the weapons around until I find what is doing the job most successfully. If the PT is fighting a bunch of different Mob types, I will usually stick to one of the H2H with no effect.
On Leviathan in San d' Oria South the past few weeks there has be a person running a Bazar full of the upgraded CP stuff. And every other day a Pair of these appear in the bazar which leads me to believe they can be crafted.
the main drop of NMs are rare and no these are not dropped by TomTitTat these are synthed from Cesti that TomTitTat DOES drop there is a huge difference betwee the two items, its just like Leaping boots > Winged boots
Can anyone tell me if they got Tit Tat to drop the Tropical Punches. I would love to get them, but don't wanna waste my time trying to find something that isn't there.
I did just fine without having to use these and I'm a lvl 41 MNK. I'm not saying they're bad weapons, but the accuracy helps for races like Elvaan or Galka (I'm a Hume M MNK). Basically I used Burning Cesti then Cougar Baghs then Impact Knuckles, and the next weapon I'll be using will be Beat Cesti (MNK AF1).
I wore the tropical punches for a while with my level 21 monk, as I got through the levels and realized that I had access to +7 damage on some weapons around level 25, I sold the punches. With my new weapon I can do about 15 or so more damage per hit. I do miss a bit more, but I think that after level 20 or so, you are better off wearing a weapon that does some serious damage, as opposed to the +1 damage of the punches. I am not sure about the formula, but it is clear that the +7 damage on a weapon equates to more than just 7 more damage. I was sad to see the punches go though, cause I had sought after them for so long (try to get them at level 10, they will be awesome). They sell for 10k in jueno on Caitsith, 30k in every other city it seems.

Well, as long as we are having arguments on usage of the English language, I'd like to point something out. "Immesurable" means it can't be measured. "Gauge" means to measure. Thus- "Strength is Immesurable" mean it isn't possible to measure the enemy, and "Impossible to Gauge" means it isn't possible to measure the enemy.
Of course, it does say "Impossible to Gauge", but they both mean the same thing.
Why are you on here arguing about definitions of words? If you are so ardent about proper English, then why don't you learn how to spell?

Posted:Jan 07 2004 at 12:38 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I just bought the tropical punches from the AH for the 0 delay and +10 accuracy. Unfortunately, the 0 delay was not as fast as I had hopped (something similar to hundred fists speed). However, I am satisfied with it since I go hit for hit with my opponent (as an elvaan monk) rather than hitting him, waiting to be hit a couple times and hitting him again. My question though is in a long drawn out fight, which weapon would be better? Tropical Punch or the Bahknahk's that have +5 damage and +55 delay?

#Anonymous,
Posted:Jan 30 2004 at 11:37 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Wow man. That was pretty harsh. Maybe YOU should stop playing
So, ya im a level 30 monk. I know the delay +0 wont make any difference like 100 fists effect. It will give you the effect attack rate as if you are using bare fists.
However, I would love to know how much these are going for (Havent seen any in an AH recently, maybe im just lazy) but at level 30 i would definately use these for the +10 accuracy, i mean +10 thats a LOT and as an Elvaan Monk i miss a lot more than them darned Mithra
Just got this weapon and had to go to work... played with it shortly. Before this weapon, I used the level 11 bahknahk +1's with the +5 damage and +55 delay and after switching, I notice a loss of about 8-12 hp per hit, but I do hit faster and miss less. I would say its a fair trade.
i believe he spawns on the NW corner of the starfall hillock, just north of the outpost. my level 12 rdm got smacked down by tom tit tat, but i didn't have full hp or mp. thought i'd be cocky and try to mess with someone with "immeasurable strength". i learned not to do that again.
I don't recall the precise skills and recipe for it offhand -- just the ~81 skill level to make it. Sheepskin and fruit punches figured into the recipe. It looked a lot like the recipe for the cesti+1. Not sure if the tropicals are dropped and made or just one or the other. All I've read indicates the Fruits are only a drop.
About the RSE, this only proves that it can be sold, not crafted. Any member of the race can do the RSE quests, and then they decide they're not holding on to it, so they sell it.
Edit, 3 months later : Btw, the "NM item = no synthing" quote has been proven wrong a long time ago now. For example, you can craft Winged Boots from Leaping boots.

The named mob in West S. is Tom Tit Tat. yes...his name is Tom Tit Tat. At level 12, when conned, i got "Tom Tit Tat's Strength is Immeasurable!" I got plenty of screenshots cuz i thought it was so funny to see one of those pikmin with a name. I saw him walking around the Startear Tree.
The only way to tell how strong this guy is would be to fight him. When the game cons something as "<t> Strength is Immesurable!" It just means that you cannot tell, not that they would be difficult to beat. I did the crab crusher quest in S. Gustaburg, and the crab conned as such but was a fairly easy kill for my 14 WHM.
