It's +10 Ice Resistance, not Darkness on this.

Is the harness better than the mail? Well if you can dish out the money to buy or make a scorpion harness then definately! But on odin, scorpion harnesses run for 6 million a piece... And unfortuneately I'm not rich ; ; .... yet. I would love to have the Drachen mail to look cool...but I would much rather have the scorpion harness any day of the week. Just my opinion...
my opinion... if u got the gil for the scorpion harness buy it, but also get ur drachen mail... use ur scorpion harness in battle for the accuracy, and when not in battle use the drachen mail for ur wyvern regen... thats what i will do if i get money for the scorpion harness

Hey ppl. I'm not real close to getting this, but I'm probably just gunna get it for fun cuz the Scorpion gear looks so much better. Although I've always wanted to wear this.

i like the drg AF. i think it looks hot on mithra. and anyway if u check out the AF2 or relic armor, whatever u want to call it, it is indeed blue.

I just finished getting all my AF(yay!!) except the helmet(boo) and i can confirm that you can complete the gauntlets quest and still get the body armor afterwards.

Kain's armor in FFIV was blue... not purple.

This armor was made to look like Kain's i believe. i could be wrong but besides the face it sure looks like it to me. btw kain OWNZ and so does this BP

maybe you should learn something about FF before you start talkin ???? about the way this armor looks. a charachter in FF2 was a dragoon and wore this armor. it isnt "gay" because its purple.
Quick question. Now I know this is probably stupid, but I'm hearing that the AF Gauntlets have to be activated, NOT completed. Does that mean you can't complete the gauntlet quest in order to do this, or you just need it active or completed to do this?

The Elemental Status granted by the Drachen Mail is NOT Darkness, it is Ice. Just a head's up~

There is no quest for this. All that is required is to get a coffer key for ifrit's Cauldron and open a coffer. (This is info i got from a lv 67 Dragoon, Once I am able to get it I will go more into detail on what drops coffer keys and what not)(Lv 54 Dragoon/Warrior)
P.S. Drachen Gloves Quest Must Be Activated, but not completed, in order to get it.

Where do you start the AF armor quest?

This peice like the feet and legs is connected to the coffer keys in Boyahda Tree, Quicksands, and Ifrit's Cauldron. This one is the 5th peice in the Dragoon Artifact Train.
All AF armor and Weapons are Quested for

well, im under the impression that its in Shakarmi Maze outside the canyon in Windhurst where you do the mission, i believe so because if seen lots of ***. players run in there far beyond where i could stand by em w/o dyin (hehe). but as to where to get the quest, i have no idea, but the armour looks badass
