I'm leveling Cooking with these, 35 now and they still sale like hotcakes at AH. So far I've made by 1st 125K that I don't have to spend by crafting these little pretties.

I would have to say if your soloing anything that this is probably one of the best
items to eat. +10 acc against a DC is great.

i really dont want to read all this, but I noticed that the -Chr really hurt Dancing Edge. Also, Its basically a Scorpion Harness for all levels. :3

I personally think this is great food for Monks at lower levels. Obviously once you're a certain level % acc up would make more sense, which is why you eat sushi. I have gotten my Monk to 31 so far and I've always used this in parties. The accuracy obviously helps mnk in one of the best ways possible while the evasion helps since sometimes mnk's have a problem with hate because of their damage and WS's like Combo. It makes a pretty big difference, but I can't imagine using it much past 40. IMO, that's wehen you should start using sushi.

I have to agree with this. In the search for decent low-level +ranged acc food I tried this out and noticed a significant difference. Definitely worth it. Only 9k on Garuda, which is awesome considering that they last 180 mins.

i had a ranger friend test it out, and they noticed a slight improvement in the ranged attacks landing, so i'd definitely say there is some ranged accuracy added, but i cant say the exact number for sure
69 thf
# Dec 20 2005 at 12:33 PM Rating: Decent
im a lvl 69 thf in alexander, im not gonna lie. i ALWAYS use this food for soloing. this +10 evasion its veryyyy useful. to the lvl 55 thf who posted and says he uses this for EXP pts, use squid sushi instead. at youre lvl, +14% acc will be more than just +10, not to mention the DEX and AGI stats ^^. also, dancing edge, which ur not that far away from, has a CHR base in it. but when u get to 65 and start to solo, definately use this food! +10 evasion can make the differnce from being able to solo a EM and a T or even VT if u got the skills.
RE: 69 thf
# Mar 22 2006 at 8:48 PM Rating: Decent
If this stuff has -10 CHR, and you use it when your 60+, wouldnt that weaken the power of Dancing Edge since it uses CHR as a modifier?
RE: 69 thf
# Oct 21 2006 at 3:27 PM Rating: Decent
he was saying how sushi would be better at that point.
RE: 69 thf
# May 22 2006 at 3:53 AM Rating: Decent
You're right, it would weaken Dancing Edge (which jihadJordan also said), but at lv66 you get Shark Bite, which is Dex based. At that level, then, a Jack-o'-lantern would be helpful for soloing.
Certainly Worth Using
# Oct 28 2005 at 10:50 AM Rating: Decent
I've been using these with my DRK since about 23-24 (now at 27) and the improved accuracy and evasion are certainly quite helpful. Also, I could swear that extra dark element is helping to either resist Mandragora's Dream Flower entirely (as I was a number of times last night while exping in Kazham) or lower the sleep duration.

I can make 'em reasonably cheap with my cooking mule too, even despite the rediculous Beeswax inflation on Phoenix >_>
RE: Certainly Worth Using
# Dec 19 2005 at 6:39 PM Rating: Decent
But with the beeswax been only lvl 5 alcumay you can cut the cost down even more by farming beehaive chips and making it your self.

So? You where still under cap. As long as your undercap any skill up is possible if your skill can exceed the skill up.

Example: You can get a .3 @ 4.9, but not @ 9.9 if you haven't done the lvl 10 break.

I think he was referencing the fact that he got a 0.2 skillup at 37.9 on a food that caps at lvl 38

I think you missed the whole point of his reply.

Capping at 38 does not mean the food can only bring you to 38.0, it just means that once you are 38.0 (or higher) it will no longer give you skill ups.

Anything can bring you above the 'cap' if you are at the *.9 under the cap and get a .2 or higher skill up. This is not new, and does not mean that the cap is wrong.

All u peeps that can get jacks cheap r lucky! I use them to lvl DRK and it is the best food...wish Fairy peeps would sell em fo less. 5-6K per jack, but still worth it if u want to help ur party most (betta tp gain cuz mo hits too). I was in pt today with SAM and was gaining tp faster than he at times. As if they needed anotha plus the -CHR allows for u to use last resort + SE without drawing aggro (less u got bunk tank).

enough salivating ova jacks...if u got em I'll eat em!

I'm a 66 Drk and I gotta say this is the most worthless food I have ever eaten. +10 Accuracy my a$$. I have never missed so much in my entire career. Sole Sushi +1 or bust, buddy. Let's not even mention the low damage. Oh wait...I just mentioned it.

First of all Celeblin hes a high lvl drk ur a low lvl nin and there are major diffrences in the classes.

At 66 Drk the 10 acc basiclly does **** for u and sushi is way better and there is no + acc.

And scond of all of course thi gives more +eva and +acc then meat mithkabobs cause Mithkabobs dont give **** of ether eva or acc they only give atta.

Finally this is probably on of the best foods for nin till sushi becomes more usful and at lower lvls u do notice the +acc and +eva.

Oh I beg to differ. I've been using this for my level 16 NIN. With this, my shadows stay up about twice as long as they do with mithkabobs. I've also noticed that I've been wiffing less than before. On the same mobs, mind you, VT-IT snippers.

And that is precisely why the go for as much as they do, this stuff is fantastic NIN food with the +10 eva.

i'll second this. i was going to solo rdm41 and i thought this would be good food for that. it certainly did NOT increase either accuracy or evasion. the only thing i noticed was the -10 chr and the +25 dark. i have no idea why this sells for so much.

"i have no idea why this sells for so much."

Because of the price of beeswax, that's why.

#REDACTED, Posted: Feb 03 2005 at 2:06 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) In my opinion, this food isn't good for DRK in exp parties. the -CHR will effect your enfeebles... badly. Resist rate is based on your CHR. I guess it doesn't apply though if you're a DRK who doesn't cast. :p

MND controls wether or not you resist a spell
INT controls wether the mob you are casting on resists the spell or not
RE: Good for DRK?
# Jun 25 2005 at 7:09 PM Rating: Default
Int based spells are based on your and the mob's Int. Mnd based spells are based on your and the mob's Mnd.

Fire doesn't use Mnd to determine if the mob resists it or not, and Mnd doesn't help you resist the the enemy's Fire.

MND affects the resist rate of spell

INT of mob and INT of Player are compared for total damage of spell.

These also have the effect of giving you "Undead Killer" trait, as you intimidate undead while having eaten one.

Also, not that I can confirm this, but I think they also increase ranged accuracy, as I missed alot less with ranged attacks when eating them.
