JUST GOT THE DROPS
OMG i can't wait to ware this on my linkshell's next dynamix lord attempt the dark magic defenss should help me survive dynamisx lord's atts its so annoying when i just used my oppo necklace for the third time and i lose my tp because he gets kitted out of range but maybe this time we won't kit maybe well just use drk resist and eat all his atts!! wish me luck guyz

only camped for about 30 mins....killed 2 rounds of place holders and got drop first time. easy one.

photo of item show that it is rare. if that is the case how do you sell them? may be fun to add this to undead farming equipment. Are we sure that this wont add to the dmg from spells and abilities? when i have equipment on that is drk my spells like dia and banish are less effective, yet aspir/drain are more effective and vis-versa.
EDIT: yeah my comp at work has poor colors thought it was ex. And rare means you cant trade it, however you can have more than one unless it is exclusive.

To enhance spell dmg u need to equip the relevent Ele Staff, and gear that add magic attack bonus helps too. Also any gear that specifically boosts spells with a certain element. Not sure if there's any gear like the last exapmle.. i'm not a blm.
you've got em mixed up, exclusive is non-tradeable and rare is only one.
"rare" just means you can only have 1 of them.

i know this is supposed to be about the gorget, but i just wanted to say that any WHM or RDM monster can and will use light...banish and dia are both light damage
If you ever visit Bastok Markets and go far down the market strip to the end of the canal and talk to the mob there, you will understand more clearly what I am about to explain. The elements you see correspond to spells that have DoT effects. If you have an item that adds a high Dark element, spells like sleep, poison, bio, etc will only stay on you for a small time. If you have a high Thunder resistance, spells like Shock will only work for a small time. So, if you equip this and you get Shock cast on you, there is a greater risk of you dying. BTW, I killed this NM accidentally when doing the BRD quest (I went to the wrong side of Bubu). Me and a 35 BLM nuked it to death, I only had to string out a Cure III or two because I can't remove the hate from Stone II. No drop though... not even a crystal. For a pug, he's pretty easy to kill.
Poison is water-element based.

Those are resists. They don't affect damage output, only your personal resistance to those elements. (+5 fire is resistance to fire damage, not enhancement to your fire spells)

he meant that you could get in trouble because of this item, because most RDM and WHM monsters use light-based attacks

interesting item. No one seems to camp it and it seems to take a weird effect. 3 +10's and 2 -10's, No mosnter actually uses light but lightning might be a problem.
