Eurytos' Bow  

i heard that E-bow doesnt have a RA damage cap, which if true definately makes this bow worth buying... and plz all u noobs that say there is no damage cap, just stfu and dont bother saying sh*t, cuz there is...

just got it not to long ago its a great bow and i don't much care for S-bow since on a moon phase its bearly any range attack at all so E-bow is full power all the time and the delay is good also.

Picked up this bad boy on Garuda tonight for 7.5Mil. A few levels off yet, but you can go months without seeing these things pop up on the AH so wan't to be sure to grab it.

/sigh I'm a 75RNG on Ifrit... I have litterally everything a RNG needs... Behemoth rings, Crimson fgr. gauntlets, Dusk Trousers, Scouts Bracers and Beret, Suzzy's Sune-ate, Genbu's Kabuto, Othinus' Bow, Fransisca, Relic bow and Gun, Optical Hat, Amamet Mantle +1... EVERYTHING... I want this damn bow... but i swear that it pops purple on ifrit... its claimed before you can see it lol... its up to about 15,000,000G in price... I need like 8,000,000G more to buy... if anyone on Ifrit has a good deal for me, hook me up^^

I'm so bummed. I had one and sold it for 7 mil 3 months ago on phoenix. Now the price is 13 mil and up. ;_;

Ever since i first got into to this game ive wanted one.......Theres nothing not to like about it. My main is RNG NIN and im really close to the lvl i can use it. Lvlin RNG without this baby would feel so incomplete. Its currently selling for 13.5mil on Titan server and rising steadily.
My ls is gonna make it and event to get this NM to drop but im thinkin of callin it off......seein as its such a looooooooowwwwwwwww drop rate. Hmmmm but what to do in oreder to make that much gil? I'd be willing to do almsot any type of farming or w/e it is to get it. Please reply with some helpful hints or tips on making that much dough. Thanks a lot.

Well, I finally got my Eurytos' bow to drop about a week ago (check my sig for a pic -_^) and boy... talk about excitement. This is one of those items I've always wanted, but never had till 74RNG.

Vs. War bow+1 or Sarnga, there is no competition. Eurytos' blows them out of the water. For normal xp, Othinius' + Acid bolts will do better than Eurytos. However if you have a multi-rng party (I have not been the only ranger in a party since Lv70) Eurytos' seems to outdamage Othinius, providing the other ranger is using one to drop mob defense with Acids. I'm working on saving up for a PPA now, so I can't compare Eurytos + PPA to Othinius + GMB, but even without a CP arrow Sidewinder damage was still very good (1200-1600dmg vs. Ro'Maeve weapons, with BRD giving double Min. Note I don't have many of the other "uber" gears, nor is my character merited.)

Vs. Gods, Eurytos is still quite competitive. Accuracy is good, damage seems to be about 10 points lower than Hellfire (I don't have a +1), but rate of fire is significantly faster.

Is this bow worth spending 10million gil on? Unless you have ten times that, I would say no. I haven't tested it back-to-back vs the other bow options (Gendawa, no +1 on my server, Shigeto and Master Caster), but it's close to if not the single best archery weapon besides Futakotoro/Yoichiyumi. That being said, Othinius' is in general the best choice still for xp parties, and Hellfire+1 is probably still the best choice for gods. However, the quick delay and aesthetic appeal of this bow cannot be overlooked. In addition, it's a nice "conversation piece" to have for your ranger. Since I got the drop myself, it's personally a little special to me. Currently I'm keeping it, despite the fact that I don't think it's worth its selling price. It's renewed my love of archery and made me reconsider a lot of things I had planned out for merit/purchases endgame.

can anyone help me out? i need to know how to get my ranged accuracy up. what does AGI do? wat equipment should i buy? wats better AGI or ranged accuracy?

Just running a rough statistic.. about 3~5% of RNG on fenrir between 55 and 67 have this bow ... i've found its acctually pretty compareable with Gun...so compareable i don't know why someone would pay 10mil for it, other than the fact they didn't want to spend 5mil on bullets between 52-67 ... ~_~

yeah, i want this bow badly but ill just have my lvl 70DRk friend who will prob do it cause all of his gear is already god like. and once he hits lvl 75 DRk he wants to be thf then he'll let me borrow his peacock charm witch ill use untill i buy the lvl 65 specs for my rng.

after 29 days....camping the nm i finily got the drop. i claimd about 20 times and got 1 bow ;;. the only times i didnt camp the nm was...well slep for one maybe a fiew partys and maybe after he pops id go and farm just a lil. the ironic thin is...im not a rng >_<. just wanted to camp him and rub it in im my ls's face. (my ls is really cool and they say/do funny things)

im planing on leveling my rng but im not shure if im gana go to, or farther then 50. well im gana keep it for a little cuz i read a little lower down


sorry to hear that. i like to invest in the "stock market" (buy an item and hope the price sky rockets) so im gana keep it for about a week and if the price doesnt go up more then ill sell it.

Well, my hubby solo'ed this beast with his 59rng/29nin, he switched back and forth between his cross bow with bloody bolts, and sleep arrows. and it is the best bow in the game, and much cheaper to use than a high level gun. I know a gun out damages the bow, but e-bow with scorpion arrows is good enough, add to that either meat chief kabobs or a t-t salad and that ranger is rocking.

over 8 million each now on Fairy.. :-(

The Story of Eurytos' Bow

The original story of Eurytos and his great bow lies in the realm of ancient Greek literature. Legend holds that, Eurytos of Oikhalia was a great archer, the best for miles and miles. Eurytos was such a talented archer that it was said that he vied with the gods in bowmanship. One day, Eurytos' pride got to him and he decided to challenge the Greek god Apollo (a god whose title was ("The Distant Deadly Archer.") to a contest in Archery. Greek gods did not appreciate whe they were challenged by mortals. Thus, "Eurytos came to grief, it's true... Apollo took his challenge ill, and killed him." Eurytos' bow was given to his son Iphitos.

Fast forward to homer's epic, The Odyssey, which happen to chronicle the adventures of (surprisingly) Odysseus on his way home from the Trojan War. Odysseus was gone for 10 years fighting a war and another 10 years trying to get home. While he was gone he left his wife and newborn son at home on the island of Ithaka. Odysseus was the king of Ithaka, and as such when Odysseus hadn't returned after 10 years of war, other men began to encroach on his household. They eat all of his food, torment his young son Telemakhos, and destroy a lot of his belongings in their revelry. They invaded his house and started demanding that his wife Peneolpe marry one of them so they could become king of the Isle of Ithaka. Before his journey to the Trojan War, Odysseus encounters Iphitos, who gives Odysseus his father's bow. Once Odysseus returns home he is disgusted with the suitors' lack of respect for his family and his home. But the men far out number Odysseus, so he tricks them.

Eurytos' Bow was so strong that a normal man couldn't string the bow or bring it to full draw without the consent of Apollo. Odysseus tells Penelope to say that she will marry the man who can draw Eurytos' Bow and put an arrow through 12 axeheads. After every man tries and fails, their arms are so sore that they can't hold swords or defend themselves in a fight. Then Odysseus enters, disguised as a beggar, and asks for a chance to try the "bow of trials." After examining the bow and carefully stringing it, Odysseus takes aim. He fires an arrow through all twelve, dead center. The suitors, in fear and awe, stare at him. (NOT a good plan) Odysseus's second arrow was aimed at Antinoos, the "leader" of the suitors. "Odysseus' arrow hit him under the chin and punched to the feathers through his throat." After this, Odysseus decides to give the others a fair chance and has his son fetch them some armor and shields. Then he starts shooting at them, each arrow brings an enemy down. Finally, Odysseus runs out of arrows. ; ; The other suitors are killed by his son. Never again, did anyone try to cross Odysseus.

And that, my friends is the REAL story of Eurytos' Bow.

my freinds freind lvl 60 NIN found this guy and gave him a shot, he died but the guy supposadly had about 10% hp left or sumthin. a JP watched him but i dont no what job or lvl he was, so after the Nin dies he grabs it. finished it off and got the bow....

p.s he sold the bow to the Nin for 700k ( the nin was Salty on pheonix) who needed it for his RNG which now is about lvl 72 >.>

p.s.s this hapend about 2-3 months ago lol and the bow goes for aprox 3mill last i checked

hmmmmm, when the time comes, I'll have to get my closest friends together to get this bow. I could use the best there is...
