Unfortunatley, people who sell the scroll at higher levels probably seem to forget WHMs can NEVER get their money back after using it, which is probably the worst mess that comes out of it. ;/

So a word to the wise, my ls has been doing this for a while now and will continue to do it untill all our whm's have this scroll........
*Adamantking* He's fairly easy if you have people that know what they're doing. The painful part is popping the sucker. I suggest all whm's research this HNM and talk to your ls's about it. If your ls doesn't wanna do it, well then you're screwed :P So far mine has done it 4 or 5 times and got a scroll everytime^^ GOGO Raise3 FOR ME!!!!!!!

I love how poeple cant get the issue with this, we are always just complaining. I'm not complaining, cuz im not buying the scroll lol. It will be everyone else complaining when ur pt member dies and they say rb3 plz, and then sorry i dont have it. They are going to be the ones like "OMGWTF".
Why dont you guys relax a little and stop all the complaining. The reason for the high price has a little to do with the new Venemous Claw BC and the horrible drop rate on this scroll.
After completing about 24 successful orb fights, i have seen this scroll only once, Damascus Ingot has been more common.
IT IS A RARE DROP FROM A HIGH LEVEL BCNM.
Why dont you guys think things like this before all the "OMGWTF its so expensive" rants.

uh... yes, SE can affect the economy. There are two ways that they could drasticly reduce the price of Raise III.
1. Increase the Drop rate or allow it to come from lower lvl BCNMs.
2. Have a NPC vendor sell it for 500k.

Yes I do highly agree with you. This scroll is way too much. It really only benefits others not even the WHM. Well unless another WHM uses it on him/her. I do agree SE should do something. It is about 2 million gil on Valefor.

last raise3 sold for 4mil on Midgar. /sigh
The reason with the huge jump in Raise III prices is the new BCNMS where you can get the venomous claws. People stopped doing the Raise III ones and look what happened. Jumped from 200k to over 1 million on Rag after the new patch. Keeps going up, I don't know what I'm going to do.
Price now 2 million on Fairy.

It jumped from 400k to 2.5mil in a little over a week. Oh and someone said we whms just just deal with this price, remember this spell is something everyone else benifits not the whm, so if ur whm does not have this spell when you are xping, you have no one to blame but yourself.
FYI, i have a forum on this subject under shiva server, has been a pretty heated discussion for the past few weeks i urge any and every whm to check it out, take care and happy gaming.
Oh and for you whms that dont want to support the gilsellers or greedy pricks on your server there is a 30 kindred seal bcnm you can get this in. dont remember the details just ask around im sure it will come up.

was 800k last dec on Midgardsormr now its like 2.5 mil and this whm is charging double on teles so he can afford it LoL 1k for dem holla mea, 1.4k for yhaot and altep, 2k for Vazhl... (Um...)
well its now at 1.5 million gil on titan *sigh* luckly im only a lvl 44 whm.... but i cant even afford erase which is at 350k on titan ><

On Carby it went from 600k on 12/23/04 to 1.1m as of 1/2/05.

hmmmmmm its 1.5 mil on asura and is pretty hard to get ahold of it. some guy /t me a price of 2 mil. and i was lik get the hell outta my face.

Heh, on Quzy its 700 k and not in stock. I remember seeing it as low as 300 K some months ago and thought I would worry about it later but now I see the price rise. I am just going too take WHM too lvl 70 just too fight Maat and not worry about lvling it anymore. I plan on doing that anyway regardless of the price but if its at a reasonable amount I may buy it too help friends and others out that may need it.
What I feel SE should do too combat overcharging on scrolls and armor is go ahead and have their shops sell them. The system is not working the way they planned it and that should make gill sellers and greedy people quit the game. Cause the gill sellers think they can bully us into buying gill from their sites by camping NMs, coffers, or whatever that drops these items and raiseing the prices in AH.

It's gone from 100k to 800k in the last 2 months on Bismarck. I'm getting pretty jaded that I have to buy this spell in two levels, and that I'll never benefit from it myself. I've never felt the urge to charge people for raises, but if I have to drop 800k on this spell, you can bet I'll be charging for it ;)
And btw, the reason the Noble's Tunic is so much more expensive than the Black Cloak is because of the ingredients it takes. The Noble's Tunic takes a shining cloth, which can only be obtained from certain god fights. The Black Cloak has ingredients that aren't very hard to obtain. That's the reason for the price difference. It's not just because it's a WHM piece :P

Yeah, in my opinion, people are dumb to raise the price of this spell, like you said it has no benefit to the whm. So, I for one am not going to throw away 1 million gil to benefit other people. It's not like armor you can resell. Raise III Do you need it? TOO BAD! I don't care if I stay 70 forever, I am not paying 1 million gil to raise III the jerks that jacked up the price of this in the first place. Take care of your WHM's, and they will take care of you ^.~

Hey everyone, just wanted to add my 2 cents... the price on Valefor is around 900k and going up... prolly hit 1 mil before the weekend is out.
BTW You CAN NOT get Raise 3 in Balga's Dais BCNM 50 - Treasure and Tribulations It's Raise 2 that drops in that one. (checked it out on MT) Anyone happen to know if one of the bcnm's out there has a higher drop rate than others? I've tried the Qu'Bia Arena BCNM (Lachesis) - E-vase-ive Action bcnm 5 times with ls mates and didn't get R3 once... well time to get back to work I suppose. Good luck to all and death to gilsellers/ppl jacking prices :P

Listen people, this new %tax on the AH is our ally in the battle for reasonable prices for WHM spells! It's a simple matter of supply/demand. True, this spell is relatively rare, but the only reason the spell has become so ludicrously overpriced (currently the single most expensive spell in the game on Lakshmi) is the fact that WHM BUY IT!
the solution? simple... don't buy it. Even gilsellers can't afford to have it keep coming back to them if they're paying 40,000 gil to put it on the AH. Besides, what are you sacrificing by not buying it? you certainly will never get a benefit from having this spell. The only reason to get this spell is if you have good friends to help you get it yourself. If you are in a static, and they want you to have it, they should help you get it rather than buy it.
The other solution? start charging 100,000 gil per cast for raise III to recoup your losses.
That million gil you just tossed at raise III could have gone toward a royal tunic, another ludicrously overpriced item at 13,000,000 gil, and it's not even HQ! it's basically the WHM equivalent of the Black Cape for BLM, but Black Cape is only 100-200k gil!
WHM gouging must stop! and the only way to stop it is to band together!

A better solution would be for the tax to rely on the current price you're trying to set it up for, not the current AH price. From what I've seen, people inflate prices to recoop their losses by heavier taxes. A tax rate dependant on the price they're trying to sell it for would encourage prices to stabilize, if not be undercut slightly.
The downside to that, undercutting, would surface in somewhat pricy items that are abundant due to the ease in which they're obtained (Raise II for instance). Still, at this point in time I'd prefer undercutting to artificial inflation. The last Raise III sold on Fairy for 1.6 mill. That is ridiculous.
