Is it too early to be making these at lvl 22 clothcraft? I was just curious as to why I had a total of 23 breaks in a row, followed by 1 successful synth? Only got .1 skillup too. sigh, anything better to make around this level?

I discovered how To Desynth This item and what you get.

I used a Lightning crystal + Fly lure,
I got a skill up with this only once when i was level 28. and it failed. which says it is in the level 28-33 range. but my guess is that this is level 30 along with making the lure.

a normal Synth gives you a Bat fang.

But the HQ synth will either give you a Chocobo feather or a Block of animal Glue.

you either get 1 or the other but those are what i got.

If you had a high level clothcraft i bet you could just sit around all day desynthing Fly lures into blocks of animal glue and make 10k like it was nothing.

Except the failure rate on Desynths is really high, even when you're well over the cap. You'd be better off actually just leveling Alchemy and HQing the heck out of Animal Glue. It'd be cheaper that way.

use these with a glass/carbon rod in the river in E ron to catch salmon(21) and shining trout(37)
only 90+ ot 10- moon though

I'm not a Fisherman so i donno what can be caught with these, but i started making them with Bonecraft: 5, and Clothcraft: 20. Istopped getting skill up with bonecraft at 8 and i made them to 29 until it became so slow to level. Then i had to wait till earthday to level my clothcraft skill to 30. i dont feel comfortable moving onto something else that is higher skill level until the thing that i am currently working on is maxed ^_^

This catches copper frogs in Bastok Mines, good to skill-up from 10-15/16 in fishing with a mithran rod.

this isn't a very expensive one to do either to help up your skills.. other than the animal glue.. but you can always hunt for that.. + it's Earth Crystal A.K.A. CRAP

I saw someone making them . they were using an earth crystal. and when they failed they lost 2 chocobo feathers and 1 animal glue.. however those aren't the items needed to make it.
I know you need them..

1-Earth crystal
2-Chocobo Feathers
1-Animal Glue
Thats only part of it

It's 1 chocobo feather, and the rest of the materials are correct, I got a .1 skill up in boncrafting making this (I failed)

Fly Lure is listing as a level 21 clothcraft recipe on Killing Ifrit:

Earth Crystal, Chocobo's Feather, Bat's Fang, Glue = Fly Lure

No mention of boneworking, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's a multiskill combine.

Still getting skillups at level 24 Clothcraft.
lists fly lure as becoming a trivial clothcrafting skill at level 30.

It is multiskill, I'm making these to bring up my clothcraft and I've managed to bring up my bonecraft up to lvl 10 prior to 5 and I no longer seem to be gaining skill ups for the boneworking, still getting skill ups at 22 clothcraft

Still getting synth skill ups at 25, but didn't get much success until my bonecraft got to lvl 5. Pretty expensive synth I feel.
