Sell the bait in Jeuno's AH for 1.5k-2k a stack. This bait is used often in Quifim for catching Squids, Soles, and Cone Calamaries. It's a fisherman-cook's dream bait. I make it, I use it, I catch my fish with it, I make sushi. It's probably one of the most important food/baits for fishing.
When I make the sliced cod, every other synth comes off like an HQ. It whizzes, piffs and POOFS like an HQ, but bait doesn't have an HQ. What I wish is that when it does do the HQ style synth, I at least get:
A. 12 sliced cods instead of 6 B. A HQ bait that gives you a fish skill +1
Wouldn't that be awesome??

The skill level is correct, I just got skillups at lvl 12 and it will easily take me to 13 ^^ if you didnt get a skill up with successful synths at 10, try sliced blue tail
I am using this bait to try to catch Gigant Squid in Qufim Island(north) for the fishing test; so far I am only catching Black Sole, but the squid is probably extremely rare. It looks like you can use the minnow or sinking minnow to catch the fish that this bait does, so you're better off with the lures.
