In all this argument over what body to use, I cant BELIEVE no one even mentions SH or SH+1 in here. SH+1 has THREE TIMES the acc bonus of jujitsu and master's gi! why on EARTH would ANYONE use a jujitsu or masters gi after they hit 57?! And on my server, SH doesnt cost much more than either of those, so lets not argue about the price. Anyway, the mnk AF body is 58, so you can actually use the SH BEFORE the mnk AF body, and even the NQ version of SH has twice the ACC bonus of it. And PLEASE, lets not get into the discussion of "but... but... that has evasion on it! You're gimping your job by using evasion+!" The evasion + is a nice bonus, for when you solo or take hate, but is not EVER hurting your job, we're talking about the acc here. Now, admittedly, the MNK af body is a nice item to have, mainly for the macro-in of using chakra (I believe it doubles it's potencty), but typically I would keep SH equipped 99% of the time.

This post is laughable on almost every level.

1.)Jugitsu Gi is ok until 58. After that if you have AF body and decide you would rather wear Masters Gi you're just gimping yourself.

I'm not saying that because I'm some kind of elitest @#%^. Rather it's because you truly are gimping yourself. This body piece is MUCH more valueble as MNK to opt for Masters Gi.

2.)EVA + on a EVA heavy job? /slap

Try again you noob. The better choice as MNK for head is STR or VIT, NOT evasion. Again the only thing you're doing to your MNK is gimping it by equiping this item. The ONLY time you'll EVER need this as MNK is for Ballista. Other than that it's a huge waste of gil.

3.)Ocho. Kote

While these are nice little numbers to get your mitts on it's not nescessary. It's a wonderful thing though, so if you can buy them go for it.

4.)Legs

While Jujistu Sitabaki is ok there are other options at 50. Even equipping Crow/Raven leggings are great for this class especially for the - enmity.

5.)Feet

If you're 51 and you don't have Kung Fu shoes you're missing out, but it's ok if you don't have them. As for Fuma Kyahan go they only add a .3 sec haste to you, and they are usually more expensive than Kung Fu's. The ONLY time I ever use them is for 2hr(stacked on top of Haste spell and Brown Belt) or Brenna. Other than that I keep my Kung Fu equipped at all times if I'm in exp party.

Don't buy into the hype of these people who want you to believe MNK needs extra eva from Emp. Pin or they NEED the extra 3% haste(.3 second haste. woooo) because you don't, and never will. MNK is DoT and lays down fantastic numbers even w/o all the fancy gear.

Jujitsu gi: ACC+4
AFbody: ACC+5

EDIT: err sory did you mean all these things UNTIL af? not sure
btw i agree with all those choices except the emp pin... We dont need those stats at all get a merc.capt.hat or voyager sallet for head (STR > AGI+EVA)

ok i've read all of the comments through here and seeing how i have complet af for 5 lv 50+ jobs here is the deal

there are 3 AF "quests"(NM battles) and 2 coffer for each job
and yes there is a difference. i'll explain that in detail later

at lv 40 you are able to aquire you AF1 which is a weapon

now at lv 50 you are able to complet your AF armor sets
in order to do so you must start your AF2 quest. usually the same person that gave you AF1.

there is also a galka in upper jeuno weapon shop that you must speak with in order to begin the hand armor quests. these can only be done one at a time. but the coffer for which can be opened with any job. i had to get a GC coffer for my rng hands so i took my 75 nin and was able to get the "old gauntlets".

the reason for this is because it is a "Quest" coffer not a regular coffer.
the "quests" can be done with any job as long as you start them with the job that needs the item. so say i am going for my mnk af2 an af3(again af monster battles) log the quests as monk, then switch job to nin and solo them(yes solo) if i have to.

so in essence there is
af1-weapon
af2&3- quested armor
hands quest
coffers

there may be 6 af items but only three are af quests, others are coffers and then you have your hand quest

i hope this helps you guys that are on your first time artifact quests. good luck and those on Odin send me a /t if you need any info

OK,i wont be worrying about this for awhile, but...I was wondering: To any monks who have and can equip this, would you use this as main equipment or use it in an EquipmentChangeMacro? [Help me out!] I need advice

Ok im 50 mnk and i was wondering is this better than a Flora Cotehardie because im a Mithra with + 17 Acc and about +5 Dex and only + 14 Str.

I have spent 16hrs and 3 trips to Beadeaux on my attempts to get this key. Bad lots and a CRAZY rare drop rate has prevented me from getting this key. To all monks out there be prepared for misery :( , also bring a high level thief with TH2, even though this didnt seem to help me much either. Good luck :)

Is it required to do all of the Afs in order, or can you just do the first, and then any of the others?? because all I really want is af1, 2 and 4...

can ya help i wanna know who i talk to to get the quest for war AF 3

how exactly does the Enhances chakra effect work? Chakra heals HP equal to double your VIT and this gives +3 VIT so does that in effect enhance chakra or does it modify the VIT multiplier? O.o

Whitch of the Temple Set is AF1??? The Temple Hose are AF3 and the and the Temple Gaiters is AF2 wht is AF1???

What quest is it you must do in order to get this set?
