My AF Body Coffer of fun story.

Ok, first off; it took me 3 hours to get a key.

With that out of the way, I had spent about 3 hours searching for a coffer.

Almost! I have a thf friend in ostroja and says he'll let me into the third door so I can camp that coffer. So I get to the second door, pop the lock and there is a yag behind the door just lookin at me. So 2 other yags join the frey. Too Weak, Easy Prey and a Decent Challenge. I'm taking hits left and right, only status I have on is signet. My thf friend runs down and sees a coffer on the way down. have like 150 hp left 105 mp so I chainspell > warp back to jeuno. My thf friend turns around to go get the coffer just in time to see a famouse gil seller pop the lid! ><

On to the Ending! So I go back to Ostroja when my brother gets on and wants to level some jobs. Fine, I warp out of the doorway of Ostroja, back to Jeuno. So after leveling for a while as my ninja in Qufim, >< I ready to call it a night when I died the second time because one of the blm's cast an aga spell and pulled two pugs onto our brand new fresh crab. He honestly didn't know what the aga part of his spell did. But he did it TWICE!

Anyway, So I go back to Jeuno and get ready to log out. But I decided I'd sub thf and go to ostroja and make a dash for the 3rd door and log out so I could camp the coffer spawn in that room.

Well I'm running up the way and about to enter the Leech room and I see some footsteps coming towards me. When coffer hunting in Ostroja its good to know who is there and wether or not they are competition or random people doing whatever. So I check the footsteps and see a 56 thf, great competition =/. So he runs by and BOOM! Coffer just hangin with his leech buddies. (didn't really say boom and I doubt they are friends) Now I can't be sure wether the thf saw it or not or just didn't want to get it because of the leaches. (probably that) I run to the corner and sneak up and recast invis. there I am in the middle of 5-6 purple leaches and I drop invis, wait for the red to fly from surrounding yags, but I was outside of their range. Goodwork, pop the coffer and start typing to my LS when ba ba ba ba baboom!! All six leeches hit me! Uh oh, so I run off and accidently target one and latch onto it so I start running around the all. By this time a few yags have seen me! I get out of the death hold of auto lock, and hit flee. Make it to the 2nd door and hit the switch while the guard pummels me. out the door and the train continues. I get around the corner and have like 125 hp and 480 mp, so I toss a convert as super cure, and continue. I was pretty much ok from there, but I made a train my Qufim buddies would be proud of. I get outside and flee just becomes available and I warp out and go home.

Got this last night :)

I decided to get a coffer key/skillup party going since I missed an LS event, hunting another key.

Fairly soon we have a nice alliance going with a WAR75 (thanks Mistaa :D) and we started hunting the key mobs.

They didn't drop much, but after about 2 hours a key finally dropped. I got lucky and won the lot of the other 2 that needed it.

We kept fighting and I also kept an eye on possible spaws. Just when the THF in our pt said 'the coffer should have spawned by now' I went out checking them and I got a coffer instantly :D

I realize I have been very lucky, but I want to tell to all other RDM out there, don't give up, it's certainly do-able!

Ok I see that the AF gives +5 CHR, how does this help a red mage? I always thought it was for BRDs and BSTs only.

AF1&2 are in San d'Oria All Artifact items are quested for. In order to do AF1 u must be level 40 for AF2 you must be level 50.

Wait, so since its rare and no drop.... and it doesn't say where to get it..
Meh.. maybe I'll learn later
