Just got it. Easy took us 15 mins to get key and find coffer. Course I'll never use it seeing as I'm blessed with Hauby+1 but its still nice to finally get it. Now just to get my af legs and helm.

You knw, it must be nice to have LS's where everyone does BCNM and NM hunts, where they spilt all the millions of gil from te drops. I don't have that. It must be nice to be cheap and buy gil. I'm better than that. You don't wanna see a drk in Chaos Currais in XP pt? Send me the gil for the damn Hauburgeon, or the armor itself, then I'll wear it. I'm not rich, I don't buy my gil, I don't do HMN's or BCNM's, simpl because I can't get any help with them. <.< I farm Beastman Blood, Silk Thread, Beehive Chips, and Tree Cuttings. Most of that income goes to Sushi. I will probably never own an Amamit Mantle +1. I can see the 10-11k for the regular one. I refuse to spend a couple million on a merman's gorget. I don't have sniper rings. Though, I eventually plan on having 2 woodsman rings. Prolly in cooldown between 55 and 56, before I do G2. BTW, on Phoenix, the hauburgeon is like 2.7-3 million gil.

I got really lucky with this.
i had joined a party finding this coffer and i was the last to get to castle oztroja and practically as soon as i entered the people that were there already found a coffer key straight away i lotted and got it ^^ then on the way to camp i found the chest lol... simple =P

Finally got the coffer after 3hrs!!!!!!!!!!
This isn't a bad piece of armor. In my opinion it's better than wearing RK armor in looks, stats, and price. If you can't afford a Haubergeon, it won't kill you to wear this.
The keys drop off Yagudo Flagellants, Prelates and Conductors. There are other yags in the area but Im not certain they drop the key. Since thieves no longer can find astrals in the coffers, this coffer is incredibly easy. I got it done in less than two hours :D

Only 2 million? Considering the stats that it gives, it is damn well worth it. Also, around level 60, you'll probably be fighting Torama or other highly evasive mobs at some point. You NEED all the accuracy you can get against these mobs. So just suck it up and save for the godly Haubergeon. Otherwise, you are gimping your party with your presence and leeching experience.

A DRK that does not have a Haubergeon is gimp. I'm sorry but +10 accuracy for a job that naturally has low accuracy to begin with is an absolute must. Also doesn't help that DRK main weapons have hideous delay so whiffing is made even more burdensome. If you are getting doubled or tripled in TP gain by other melee and slowing down experience to a crawl waiting for you to hit 100%, then maybe it is time to ditch the AF armor. Otherwise, even a DRG can easily outdamage you.

Could you do yourself a favor and relook the words your saying, as said already DRK's have A+ scythe skill, not to mention we have rather good dexterity compared to other jobs (even more so if your a mithra or galka) that +a Life belt and a Venerer Ring doesn't make you have the ABSOLUTE need to buy a sniper/woodsman ring and Haubergeon. I'll buy it, but I wont say I NEED it. Its just nice to have for tp building. God its people like you who say /thf for DRK after 60 is a must.

May be so, but Hauby is like 8-10mil on Siren, to me, 10 acc isnt worth that much, maybe 3-4mil tops, anything higher is to much for it, as good as it may be. Call me a gimp Dark Knight if you want, so be it, but I'm not paying 8-10mil for a hauby, that will only encourage others to raise it even more...

Probably not, unless SE decides to bring in another set of AF gear. But I doubt it would be anything other than Scythes.
The reason is because DK's are A+ in Scythes - Meaning they're weapon skill levels are the highest out of all the other weapon skill levels. Even greatswords.

DRKs get Spinning Slash with Great Swords at 225 skill (66 DRK). Very powerful WS in pts, since it's a high damage single hit WS and thus stacks well with Sneak and Trick Attack. According to a 70 PLD I know, a GS DRK in his pt once did 2400 damage to an IT mob using Spinning Slash. I've not confirmed the buffs the DRK used though. Anyways, the point is that, while Scythes are the best for DRK, Great Swords also have good WSes. I personally keep both weapons leveled.

well it prolly aint from orbs... the orbs just give you some good equipment and are not quest based..... for AF crap youhave to talk to people and trigger things.... with orbs you just go, insert, fight, recieve

3: get a yagudo cherry from a merchant or the ah go to h14 in giddues and trade the cherry to the ??? in the southwest corner
4: vaa huja the erudite spawns beat him check the ??? to get the key item the book go to raibahtand complete the quest to get ur raven scythe

I am pretty sure, that is incorrect. You must do quest to obtain that armor. I am currently doing the artifact armor quest for the boots. I'm lvl 52 drk hoping to get the whole set soon ^^. I'm about 90% sure it doesn't have to do with the orbs, but im just on the boots part now. You need to be level 40 to start AF1 quest which is for artifact weapons.. for drk its a raven scythe. Then lvl 50 to start artifact armor quest (af2+). Hope i helped ^^

When you use the orb it takes yu in to a battle field and when you kill the mob drops 1 piece of our artifact armor. This is what i was tld by some Hi lvl jap friends, can anyone else verify?
