This sword is worth getting just because it looks hella-cooler than any other GKT until now!! i was hoping that the blade would be green but its not...but the hilt is blue with silver inlay! check it OUT. On gilgamesh the price of this baby went up right after i bought it. from 10k-30-34k! so as soon as i hit 34, its gonna be sweet :D

Actually to buy the stuff from the guy in Warehouse 2 in Bastok you must be a member of the Tenshodo. The quest starts in Lower Jueno, so you should check the listings in that portion of the site to find out how to become a member. I have very little tenshodo fame, and I can actually purchase this, so I know that's all you really need

Anyone know the recipe for this item? Typically, great katanas seem to be made of lumber, leather, thread, tama-hagane, and 2 kinds of ingot. The color of the picture seems to indicate one of those ingots is mythril.
This Great Katana can't be synthed, only bought from the Tenshodo vendors listed above. It is used to synth the Kanesada+1 however, which is a level 63 great katana. Recipe is as follows:
Kanesada +1
Smithing(88)
Woodworking(31)
Crystal: Fire
Steel Ingot, Rosewood Lumber, Kanesada, Silver Thread
HQ: Shinkanesada

You need more tenshodo fame to purchase items from him. This is also good so that you can get ninjitsu scroll quests in norg like utsusemi. You can either do the zinc ore quest in port bastok or the yagudo bead necklace in windhurst. Anyway, thats how you get him to sell you stuff. I did the zinc ore quest 27 times and I am able to buy stuff but its prb less fame than tha. G/l

I am guessing you buy it from tenshodo, since it is in warehouse 2.
