yes, you do need wordworking skill to synth this! i'm lvl 55 smithing and lvl 2 woodworking. I tried synthing one of these for fun and my crystal broke, I also got a +.2 raise to woodworking. I'm guessing you need around lvl 5-8 because ash lumber caps at lvl 8 woodworking. Can't actually believe i failed the synth lol oh well.
This is way way cheaper to buy on the AH so i suggest you do that.

I need this Tachi, I want to craft it myself but iam getting a hard time lvling my smithing to 33, anyone have a suggestion to speed up my smithing?
Why didn't you buy it when you got the SAM quest? It's purchasable in Norg, amongst other places.

They are trying to sell currency for 50k per single unit and 5mil per 100 unit. Well I guess Relic weapons will become harder to get if you plan on buying currency and items from these FOOLS.
