Kotetsu = "Ancient Steel" in Japanese.

Most of the lower level Great Katana can only be bought from vendors, instead of crafted. That's why you don't see any +1 versions of most of them. This was about 40k when I bought it, dropped down after I was done with it though. Now that I'm higher the GKT are getting even more ridicilously priced, my current weapon (Mikazuki, level 44) is 100k at the AH. ><
Sylph server. Be wary if you plan on leveling Samurai, the GKT's are pretty expensive most the time. (I submitted a screenshot of this awhile ago, wonder why it hasn't been posted..)

this thing is ridiculously priced. im on Pandemonium and it cost 20k atm. but whats weird is that the Homaru is only roughly 10k plus it does fire damage. can u tell me if its worth it to spend 20k on a GK that does 2 more dmg then my current GK or wait till 34 for the homaru.
P.S. if you can, please explain why this cost so much? is it because of the lvl/dmg ratio thing or what?

its supply and demand, most Gktns are costly because only 2 jobs can use them and not many are questable, and often have low supply because crafters ussually just craft one for themselves, get over it and sell it
