This item is listed as a furnishing, but it does not show up on this page: http://ffxi.allakhazam.com/dyn/ahitems/5.html

I'd like to see that fixed.
Moghancement: Light

I've heard that having a dominant level of Light energy in the moghouse decreases the chance of losing items in any failed synthesis, not just one using a light crystal. Also, from experience, I've had failed synthesis with wind, earth and fire crystals, losing no ingredients in repeated cases, one failure after the other. My Moghouse has 7 mannequins, though. (stg:7 each - element:light) To further persue my theory, I've just now bought a couple of bookholders and a mohogany bed (dont need it) and then came here to see where I can get white jars. I'll let you all know how my little "synthesis experiment" goes.

You could use this to increase the amount of Light energy in your Mog House as reported by your Moogle. This might increase the strength of Moghancement: Experience from a Mahogany Bed.

No, you can only have one type of moghancement at a time, no matter how many pieces of furniture you have in your house. The strongest one will dominate.

Moghancement: Light is its own moghancement and will have no bearing on Moghancement: Experience. Moghancement: Light causes you to have a lower chance of losing the item when you are synthing with a light crystal and it fails. See this link:
  • http://ffxi.allakhazam.com/db/skillmods.html?fskillmod=373

  • You cannot have both Moghancement: Experience and Moghancement: Light at the same time.

    Or you could read the Vanadiel Tribune issue on Mog Houses, and actually read what you can do with them.

    "Judging by the bed this Taru has, and the high number of White Jars and Bookholders (Light Affinity), he is planning on dying often and would like to minimize the experience points lost upon death...a higher light affinity will aid Moghancement: Experience, which is given by this noble bed."

    Also I had lightning affinity after getting my Noble Bed, so I went out and bought some Bookholders, now my Mog House is aglow with faint light energy and my mogancement is experience. ^.^

    ...no
    You can only use it on yourself. It's mainly used as a crafting ingredient. Though there may be items that say Paralyzed: Haste +8%, so you take the potion to be paralyze and activate the haste effect.

    After buying this item, your moogle will report finding a paralyze potion inside. But the question is, what does one do with it?

    You paralyze yourself with it... Note- Paralysis from a Paralyze pot is VERY strong... and is very bad when a WHM uses one in PT >.>;
