I usually get anywhere from 8-16 Iron Sands per hour of hard mining in Ifrit's Cauldron. It is the second most common item mined imo next to Flint Stones.

The reason the smithing shop doesn't sell it is because they don't get a regular stock, they only sell back what other players sell to them. You can buy this in Norg from a NPC around H8-H9.
You get it from mining at Ifirt's Caudron

I check in San d'Oria North and they are not selling it but we can sell to them. Any one know how to make them or where to get ?
