Is this spell RILLY worth it? I meen, it is 300k and sometimes 330k+ on Ramuh...Is it worth it for THAT much gil? Yes it does do a good thing but you can save SO much gil just buying spells that do about the same thing only for different reasons...Well I know who isn't buying this...lol

Erase removes statuses like str down and rasp, status ailments that cant be cured by other -na spells. From my experience, it is not worth it until much later levels. Robber Crabs is what you will be fighting a lot from above 50 and they will be using str- down a lot, but there are other things you can fight.
I heard that from 65+ a LOT of mobs will be using status ailments that erase is needed for, so its not worth it until much later on. It still nice to have as a luxury before 50 though.

Quicksand Caves 40-50 this spell is very useful. Spider's slow overwrites haste there. Also, in Garlaige Citadel 32-35, this is good for EVA or STR down. Crawler's Nest doesn't have many effects that this would work on, though.
um... Crawlers use Sticky thread. giving the effect of slow. i think its VERY usefull here. also 42ish~ blazer beetles have same status effects as beetles in garlaige.. so why not ???

Crawler slow can also be overwritten with the Haste spell. No need for Erase.
So far the Spider Web ability of spiders is the only slow effect I've seen that can't be overwritten with Haste.

I'd like to add that the ability to overwrite Slow by using Haste is determined by the caster's Enhancing skill and the strngth of the mob's I guess "enfeebling" or its potency.
haste is like what lvl 41 or 42 for whm i dont really care bcos the only mage job i have lvled past 15 is blm and thats for tele i was fighting crawlers in cn from 36 as rng so um.. it is needed cos from lvl 40 + youll get other status effects so lvl 40 is when i would expect most whm to have it and any rank 6+ with a lvl 65+ job, if lvling whm i would expect to have this spell by lvl 32 33 latest if theres no stock.
this spell last time i checked 2 weeks ago on fairy was like 620k+ cos people r greedy and if people wernt so greedy then all prices would be lower and it wouldnt cost as much to buy bcnm drops..... oh well, off to do bcnm when update finishes.

Haste is 7 levels higher than Erase, true. But it is about 1,160,000 gil less expensive. If you have 1.2 million by lvl 33, then go for it!

There is also the mp difference to consider. If you have to Haste 3 or 4 memebers at 40 mp a wack it adds up. I can't remember how much mp Erase is because I haven't played whm in a while but its significantly less...like 18? ish...
Erase is expensive, but not unattainable. Every whm should have it. If I achieved it anyone can. Taking some time off leveling isn't the end of the world people. Now that Raise 3 is so cheap this is the most expensive whm spell. So just suck it up and buy it and your parties will be grateful. I never regretted buying it.

Under the "Gained from quests:" header at the top it says you can get this from doing the BCNM 30 Creeping Doom, is this a typo?

Dunno about that but you can gain Erase from BCNM30 : Carapace Combatants on Horlais Peak. We won it once there.

Selling for 300-340k on Kujata. This seems to be the best loot u can get from BCNM40 in Kujata... Utsusemi:Ni is currently undercutted alot... 90k the last time I checked. Phalanx isn't that bad.. about 140k

my friend got an astral ring in jeuno for 6,299 gil. He was just ******** around waiting on someone and was maxing out his budget, lol, 6,299gil, and he got an astral ring out of it. Since he is a melee, he is now ~200,000gil the happier
I would like to relate a very rare experience. I was in Jeuno, teleporting for cash (yes, I'm a telewhore and I don't mind saying it, but I don't "overspam" as some do) Anyway, I had my eye on Erase for some time, but getting a BCNM40 PT together is difficult, and saving up 300k was pretty much out of the question. So I decided to bid everything I had on it (~25k) and I GOT IT! It probably wasn't a 'mistake' on the sellers part because usually that means they put it up for 30,000 instead of 300,000... etc. but this I got for 25k.
Moral of the story? BID LOW the whole point of the auction house is to start low and increase your bid. Some people who want a quick return on their goods will put items up for 1gil knowing that theirs will sell next guaranteed. They assume that people will bid close to the current value. So always try bidding low first. It takes some time sitting at the AH if you bid this way, but it can have some great payoffs.
and no... I'm not suggesting that you can get 'lite items for dirt cheap on a regular basis, I just got lucky. However, this isn't the first time something like this happened to me with cheaper items.

Guys, I always heard this spell was expensive, but, c'mon!!! It's only a level 32 WHM spell!!! In Siren this spell costs ~320,000 gil, as of 8/29/2004. Let's make a quick calculation, at level 32, a White Mage farming/fishing/crafting could be making, what? 10-20k per day? At most, if AH clears up. We ain't any meleeing, aggresive class. So, unless we already have a very high level melee job, or we have our crafting at skill level 90. It will take us days, or weeks to save for this spell.
Do BCNM 40??? It's a great option, but, I have been weeks searching for a competent party to do it. And, guess what? They all claim they don't want a White Mage for BCNM. (Scratches head) Oh, well, I will keep saving to make some DRK very rich.

I take my whm and sub blm and go for trains a thf friend helps with treasure hunter. make trains of crawlers and banishga, stonega, and waterga them to death banishga 2 if you got it. add yagugos and gobs for some gil drops and mandys for fame item drops. you can also charge to power level people or lvl to 36 and get tele scrolls first.

10-20k a day only? go mining if you don't have any crafts up. I got 100k in about 3-4 days of mining. I can make at least 10-15k a day just leveling a new job from 1-10 and farming for crystals. Just level your jobs off easy preys since you're going for farming instead of leveling, and also pick up beastmen seals while you're at it.

I just got this last night, from doin BCNM 40 in Palborough Mines, i also got 2 Spirit Torque, 1 Strike Shield, 1 Fire Pact, 1 Earth Mantle... we did 7 rounds, the only reason i got 2 spirit torque is cause i had one in AH, im not supposed to have 2 of the same rare items.. just in case someone posts something bout that.

um..... Wello.... hey, i just seen you on this morning in Valkurm Dunes... You should not be worrying about this spell when it is a level 32 spell, plus you need to get subjob, level that sub-job, then raise whitemage all the way to 32. Oh, and this scroll cannot be bought in Jeuno Magic Shop... (I don't think so) otherwise it would not sell for 200k on our server's ah. This is supposedly obtained only from BCNM battles.
Keeps Changing on Pandemonium, at 450k now o.0

This spell removes any one debuff (except Weakness) that is not covered by the other -na spells, i.e. Evasion Down, Rasp, Slow, etc.
Yeah You get this from the BCNM40 in the Giddeus area....It sells for 330k on Garuda and I got it ! w00t w00t! well a portion all the people who participated in the fight gets a cut of the entire treasure we inherited.

You can't get this scroll from quests. The only way to get it is by fighting BCNM40.
this erases one debuff from the target - except weakness.. and also goes for about 380k on my server-alexander.. though there is a quest for it, though i dont know what it is
