I'd have to say that as a Hume redmage, this has got to be the best food on the market for red mages in an xp situation. I'd gladly take the 2 less mp from sweet rice cake, in exchange for an additional 3 MND.
I got this asa HQ for the roasted mushrooms at lvl 19 cooking on lightningday. Yay :D

71 Cook (at the time) had enough ingredients for 2 stacks, made 1 stack of HQ and 1 stack of NQ, perfect 50% HQ since I am more than 51 over the cap thats what you can expect.
I made one of these and I was still 3 below the level cap of the Roast Mushroom recipe.

These currently sell for 30k/stack @ Sylph^^ I'm lvl54 cooking right now, and hoping to make some profit out of them.
These happen to be one of the best WHM food in the game but I also like using Goblin Mushpot which lasts 3 hours and gives +10MND(GMushpot is not a good BRD-BST food because it lowers ur CHR -5)

I use these all the time for lvling my mages. I recently noticed that my mp regeneration for my lvl 12 whm started at 15, then would do 16, 17, 18, etc. So my MP regeneration without the witchkabob is 12 MP, and it doesn't ever increase. But with the witchkabob, it starts at 15, and adds 1 to each each time. Just thought I would share my findings.

what level do you would you start craftig these a prtty good rate? I am level 49 and I craft them ocasionally but mostly never get these i will get 2-4 out of a stack of matereials.

at this time I'm level 76 in cooking on caitsith server and i tried to make these today. I made these 8/12 times. I'm sorry didn't look at the time of day or the day for that matter that i made these. However that should give you an idea of what level you can be to make these 2/3 of the time. And witch kabobs are selling for 25k on my server atm.

i know you posted some time ago but i figured i'd reply anyway. now i could always be wrong but i believe the stats are:
Kabob: MP+15, MP while healing +3, MND+4
Wizard Cookie: MP while healing +10 and not so sure on the MP+ :/
i personally like the + MP while healing on cookies but thats just my opinion

Anyone figure out if different shrooms allow a higher chance of HQ synths?
Since all cap at 16, it probably doesn't make any difference at all.
Once your cooking skill is high enough(usually around 30+levels above cap, or 46 in this case), your chance for HQ will reach about 50% and after that it levels off fast or stops growing entirely.

that is the ultimate whm food, what lvl cooking can you HQ these at least 1/4 of the time? anyone have any experience with these?
lvl 49 Cooking and was able to make 4/8 witchkabobs on a Firesday.
They sell around 1.2k - 1.4k a piece and ~14k Stack on Bahamut (7/25/04)

This would be the critical success of a roasted mushroom.
Recipe: Fire Crytal + 2x Sleepshroom + Rock Salt
(haven't tested the other types of shrooms, but I'll assume they work)
