This looks like something I'd feed my monk, if she was begged to tank.

Guild Points

This is worth 1,200 guild points and you just need to trade in 4 and have 240 guild points left to get or you can just trade in 5 to get all the guild point for that day.

The Guild point for that day is 5040 Guild Point.

This is one of the worst item I had to try and make as none of the AH had chicken bone or red terapin.
Which meen I had to pay 400k in total for 4 soups :(
Instead of paying like 120k and making 12 of em.

I dunno about this being good for a mnk. Looks more suitable for something like an early level thf or job that only has SA. The -mnd is horrid for using chi-blast. I would imagine this be a good food for a L30 DRK/THF who has to rest inbetween fights in order to recover MP, so the HP recovery while resting will be nice after they just got their asses kicked for stacking SA with their weapon skill.

At level 74 cooking (Artisan) I was asked for this item by the Guild representative. She stated that I could receive a total of 5040 guild points.

5K in guild points for one day is a nice amount, and I haven't seen any other recipes yet that yield this much, but looking at the items in this synth quickly turned me away.

BTW, the AH for the price history on Turtle Soup is about 15K on sales spread out over a few months.

Best food for HNM/Gods

This is the best food in the game for a PLD fighting HNM/Gods. In that case your main concern is to not die in one hit (there is always a Cure IV coming, you just have to stay alive long enough to receive it). If you think that the Cassie Earring is worth ~2 million and it gives you only 50 hp (at the cost of 50 mp), this food worth its weight in gold (~140 hp for a PLD 75, <Yes, please>). Too bad you almost never find it at the AH (at least in Sylph).

Goals in FFXI (in order of importance):
- To tank all Gods and HNM's (Genbu O, Suzaku O, Seiryu O, Byakko O, Kirin O)
- To get full Koenig Armor (Koenigh Handschuhs O)
- To get full AF-2 Armor (Valor Coronet O, Valor Gauntelets O)
- To get The Excalibur!

Would not something that gives both +VIT and +DEF% be more suited for a PLD at HNM/Gods? Although I have to say the +6 VIT is pretty nice, but there are foods that give the same VIT and +25 DEF% and a bunch of other stats that are much more better eg. tacos.

Since the patch the stats on this have changed:

Mnd -3
Dex +4
Vit +6
HP +10%
HP regen while healing +5
3 hour effect time

That's right- HP +10%. It gave the 65 Pally I tested it on +113 HP. This may have surpassed Seafood Stew as the best Pally food in the game.

Seafood stew isn't close to the best pld food in the game. Tavnasian salad (spelling?) is.

only give +20 hp, but gives 20 mp, 6 vit, like (from there on im trying to remember...something around these lines) 4 dext, 3 agi, +mnd, maybe some +chr though im not sure, 25% def and cap a lot higher than seafood stew, and some hp/mp regen bonus while healing (though not sure on that one)

I may be off by a bit (or a lot), but you get the idea. The salad is amazing, and the ingredients arent THAT bad...if you can cook it yourself, you can probably make it for the price seafood stew sells on AH... a its just amazing. (well, if the jap web site I checked was accurate ^^ )

um tavnazian salad is hp 15 mp 15 dex 4 agi 4 for 90 mins what you are referring to is the taco which is hp 20 mp 20 dex 4 vit 6 agi 3 chr 4 and def +26 % the only drawback to this food is that it is cooking lv 97 so unless you know some people who know some people youre gonna have one hell of a time finding it... at least on ragnarok
