Shallops Tropical Vs Seafood Stew
# Aug 11 2006 at 2:57 PM Rating: Default
Well for starters Both Shallops Tropical and Seafood Stew last 3 hours and are both unstackable... not that this matters because it lasts 3 damn hours.

Seafood stew caps at 120 Defence while Shallops Tropicale caps at 100 defence,
Seafood Stew 20 Extra Defence

Seafood Stew Also has 5 VIT whereas Shallops Topicale only has 4 VIT
Seafood Stew Extra +1 VIT

The only advantage of Shalops Tropical is the mere 20 Mp advantage. No offence, but if you prefer 20mp to an extra 1 VIT and 20 defence, Your thinking along the wrong lines as a tank, This food is more beneficial than Shallops Tropical in my personal Opinion. Others may have things to say about 20mp on a paladin used for that extra cure or that little boost of hate, i just think that little cure extra is to little and that extra boost of hate doesnt measure to an extra 20 Def and extra VIT stat

This food is also used to break level 90 cooking cap.

By the way this is based on the premise that the players Defence IS 480+ if your defence is around 400 By all means go with shallops Tropicale becase the cap to 120 defence will be useless to a person who has 400 defence and uses this food as they will get a 100 defence boost anyway.

Adjust the resolution of menus.

If the Overlay Graphics Resolution is set higher than the Menu Resolution, menus will be automatically resized.

I thought of it first:

Shallops Tropical Vs Seafood Stew
# Aug 12 2006 at 10:13 PM Rating: Decent
Hmmm Interesting you say that ^^

Im a lvl 55 PLD and an 83 Cook

Personally, I use the shallops tropicale for two reasons,
1. I dont hit the defense cap as my base defense is <400 unless i use Sentinel
2. The MP gain is more important to me then just another cure because it allows me to unequip my electrum ring "HP-20 MP+20" and equip a Verve ring +1 "DEF:2 VIT+3 earth+7" which is way better then vit+1, and i'm not losing 20 HP either so thats another bonus.

Also, having more MP as a PLD doesnt just give you an extra cure, Auto-refresh has a lot of influence too.
Having that higher MP cap means that while the pt is pulling, my auto-refresh isnt just sitting idle while my MP is full.

Anyways as an Elvaan PLD i swear by this food as my MP is only 200 ; ; so +10% is pretty good in my books ^^

P.s. I like ure nick thiefssuck ^^
but i wouldnt skill up cooking on these, the shall shells are too rare and the nebi's sell for like 23k a stack on my server. It would just make the fails that much more painfull ^^

Cheers
Lex

Good for Tarus

Taru PLD's will probably want to eat this, but all other PLD's check out Shallops Tropicale, it's much nicer ^^.
#REDACTED, Posted: Jul 08 2005 at 12:36 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) For PLD...this item.....Steamed Crayfish and Fish Chiefkabobs are very good....I've tried them all and this food gives the best overall DEF..

heh heh heh

costs 6k on Quet. I use it on my ninja (yes, i know i'm weird but I like to, you know, BE A FREAKIN TANK) I go from 328 def (w/defender and protect III) to 407 Def. I suck at math so someone else can try figuring out the percentage on that one eh?

Just wondering - why did my original post of "this is worth 1320 guild points" get rated down to 1.98? It's useful info for chefs trying to get their hat, apron, etc.
No Def %?

RE: No Def %?
# Aug 23 2004 at 2:45 PM Rating: Decent
It's just 25. I use this for my PLD when I can afford it. Probably the best food out there, but it's just non-stackable
RE: No Def %?
# May 27 2005 at 4:00 AM Rating: Decent
It doesn't need to stack when it lasts for 3 hours, people quit complaining that it doesnt!!
For god's sake, buy 2 at a time when you go to lvl. Still think the schallops is better, just my opinion, or even turtle soup.
