wonderful food to skill up on

cooks: these are an excellent recipe to skill up on. I made these from 82-88 (had trouble for the first two levels) with synth support. I MADE a profit from those 6 levels, and still plan on taking them to 90 unless i can get my hands on emperor roe for flint cavier. make these ^^

Due to the dramatic price hike up on seraph, these are now going for 20k a stack.

Same here on Shiva....

In fact, all the food has gone up in price and all of the gear is shooting down in price ><;

Also, had I read the date, this is somewhat different of a price hike-ing time, lol...

Silly BLUs, it's all their fault. Hey, my BLU deserves these more than anyone else's BLU >.>;;

Do people still skill up on these?
# Nov 21 2005 at 6:45 AM Rating: Decent
The guide I use says to skill up on Rolanberry Pies.. Saying they can be sold for 20k in such a server. But I think maybe this guide was written before they could stack, as Rolanberry Pies sell for about 6-8k on my Server now. Plus the multi-ingredients needed

Bird Egg x1
Gelatin x1
Maple Sugar x1
Pie Dough x1
Rolanberry x1
San d'Orian Flour x1
Selbina Milk x1

Is it wise to still skill up on these to 90?

Edit: More detail.

It appears they have forgotten to mention this stacks now. I don't knowe as of when - but that might be why the time has decreased on them. Prices will fall somewhat as people realzie they can now sell them in bulk.

Not bad i would say.. just have to be patient and wait. Makes my striving for my cooking to go up more worht it, that's for sure.

Ramuh server these dropped to 7k a stack right away, I feel bad for the poor guy who bought the first stack at 20k. Not too bad of a price, not huge profit, but not tiny either. Making my own gelatin from bonecraft defenitly helps!

Cakeordeath/Lynna Ramuh Server 90 cook and going up!
#REDACTED, Posted: Dec 15 2004 at 9:43 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I AM SO INCREDIBLY PISSED OFF AT SE FOR NUKING MY FAVORITE FOOD! >< thisnow lasts for 30min(yes i saw previous posts) but ti still goes for same price on AH and in bazaars! BS I SAY! :/ about 1300-1500 per in bazaars, and about 13k per stack on AH -.- i hope SE dies a horrible death.... >.> im done ranting and no longer using this....30min for 1500gil isnt worth this...

Any 1 know if the yeild for synth has changed too? why would the price drop like hell for a stack of rolanberry pie :r 20k to 7 k in Ramuh.

Confirmed that these do indeed stack now and each synthesis yields 4 rolanberry pies.

Glad this changed - i've been avoiding skilling up on these since they didn't stack. Back to cooking again :)

Update: a lot has changed and in the last update they made these stackable. (/joy)although they dont last as long nor give as much INT as they used to (/fume)

Yay!

I use these most of the time. Here are the effects that I have seen from it:
1) +50mp
2) INT +2
3) AGI -1
4) Lasts for 1 real life hour.

these aren't the kind of item you buy just for leveling purposes in most cases.. maybe at higher levels though

these go for about 1k a piece and last 30 minutes i believe.. awesome for bcnm fights and such, but too expensive to use constantly

I use these for doing multiple BCNM runs as they last an hour, and give 50mp. For xp, they kinda suck since only +2 INT boost.

For xp, Melon Pie +1 is the best food a RDM or BLM can eat imho. It's 12k-21k/ stack...but it's worth every penny:

MP +30
INT +5
MP while healing +2
Lasts for 60 minutes.

my cooking will soon be high enough to use these on my galka whm, 96 mp from rse, 50 mp from astrals, 50 mp from this, silver hairpin +1 = 15 mp

sheesh my galka will give the tarus a run for their gil. I want to cook my own since they don't stack, could just carry ingredients and synth on the fly.

Not to rain on your parade or say Galka can't be mages (I know an incredible Galka WHM named Chudleigh on Leviathan), but just to sort things out... Let's look at level 34, after you get all your RSE and level your sub again for more MP.

Taru WHM34/SMN17 with no equipment: 424.
Galka WHM34/SMN17 with RSE, Astrals, Hairpin and Rolanberry Pie: 441.

17 MP over a Taru using all that equipment space for a bunch of +MND (or +INT for BLM) isn't exactly giving them that much of a run... more like a light jog for their gil. =P

Not to rain on your parade, but Galka have naturally higher MND than taru, so the Taru may have more MP, but the Galka's cure will heal for more. Also, at that level Galka will have a ton more HP than a Taru Whm. And in a perfect world, whm's wouldn't have to worry about HP cause they would never get hit, but **** happens, and if the tank loses hate, the difference between a Galka Whm and a Taru Whm can be life and death, and alot of XP =P

Not meaning to sh*t on your galka hating parade, but
SMN65 Galka Asteroth On Remora MP- 801
And every1 knows it doesnt take a race to make a good player, and it takes a noob to think race makes you better than another race... unless ur job is completely dependant on something and a mindless drone can do it.
