Got one on Cerberus for 6k the other day. Planning to use it for my BST once it's high enough. The +1 goes for around 1mil I really don't think it's worth it unless you can get it synthed for you.

Im only a lvl 54 drg but heck i saw it on ah the other day 12 in stock. Price checked it and paid 3k for it Leviathan may not be the best server but some items come in really cheap

Hey im on fairy server (most overpriced) and just the other day this went for 50k +1 went for 5mil when i first started playing this crack sorry I meant game I heard fairy was the cheapest. Ever since this emmigration prices have been steadily rising. A scorp harness before emmigration was on average 3-4mil its now about 7-10 My question was would this be nice equip for my rdm/nin when I become of lvl?

I think they changed it cause in the FFXI Atlas there was a typo and it said Amemet Skin which is used in crafting an "Amemet Mantle". Not sure this is the true reason but that's my guess.

Sea is short for search. So when you type in /sea all you are saying you want to search all areas.

A couple months ago, my LS leader was desynthing these for some reason and he desynthed a Amement Skin.... He was pretty shocked but hey, its a free 290k, would'nt complain.

HQ teirs are 11 over, 31 over, and 51 over. Because 111 is impossible, 31 over is the highest you can achieve. So, 91 skill is all you need (or 88 with +3 guild assistance).

Much less of a gamble on Quetzalcoatl. Amemit Mantle down to 4k (sometimes even less), and Amemet Skins are a steady 330k.

Not sure if this has been posted, But the mantle has a hidden effect of Intimidation on Lizards and Efts (Which i guess all Lizard type mob).
I tested this out, 30 Kills no mantle 30 Kills with mantle. Both on Ivory Lizards and Efts.

I was under the impression these were super-expensive (I'm from server Ifrit). 20K for the regular, someone in my LS said she got it for 8k. The +1 (in the last 10 sales in history) went for 1.9mil to 1.2mil...... low prices were most recent. I wonder why such I wide array of prices in such a short time.

Why is it that the skin drops from amemEt but the mantle is amemIt?

I just bought one of these for my Ninja on Alexander. 100k across the board. +1 were near the 600-900k price tag.

Amemit Mantle +1 on fenrir are about 1.5 mil... almost sounds like a good price you got there (in comparison XD )

The reason the mantle costs less than the ingredients to make it, are because all the crafters want to be making +1 Amemit Mantles. When they make an "ordinary" mantle they consider it a failure and just stick it on the AH to reduce their loss. The same is largely true of almost every craftable piece of armor that has a +1 version. Generally there will be little profit, or even a loss, made on the "ordinary" versions because people know the +1s are where the big bucks are.
As for Amemet dropping multiple skins, he's been known to drop up to 5 at a time (when a TH2 THF is present). I've seen screenshots of the items dropped and have seen a row of 5 Amemet Skins come off this mob before. So in that sense, he's a very valuable kill.

I just bought this for 35k. Price has been in a downward spiral as it used to be up near 100 a while back.

I thought that the price used to be way higher it is at 60k gil now, but the amemet skin is worth 220k gil still... strange eh?
Apparently the mob (Amemit) that drops the skins for this is in Kuftal and may drop more than 1 skin a kill.
I've heard from an unreliable source (a loser that lies alot) that he got 4 skins in 1 kill...

it can drop multiple skins >_> I was lvling in Kuftal tonight and I saw a Linkshell kill the Amemet, and when we asked what it dropped they said "just a few skins". <.< so ya it can drop more than one per kill

the NM also drops lizard skins, they probably didnt mean the 100k skins.
I don't know about four, but Amemet can drop from one to three Amemet skins. Three is the max that I've heard of droping anyways.

leather craft-60,earth crystal,ametmet skin,lizard molt,and one grass thread,really the only expensive peice is amemet skin and for such a good item it is a VERY low skill lvl and cost lvl to be making it (glad i have a guy in my ls that is lvl 64 leather craft^^)

If there's a +1 version then It is crafted. It's amantle so it's based in leather working. I'm betting the recapie involves leather from something quite difficult to kill. I'd look to other mantles for ideas how to craft it.
