First my question. How man seals? to get orb.
thats it.
Next . the belt is pure gold. Not an overated item.
as stated above it is end game type gear and not JUST apiece of candy.
( think of other games you have played in the past. The last best items always cst the most or you need to do something retarded to get em. This even tho its dramtic is still just FF :)
And as an end piece item its a nice stat boost.
I am mearly a RDM as my main but am nearing 75. The belt?.. its for my sam that is 65 on its way to 75. Hoorah! get me this belt, both my rdm and sam ar gonna be sleeping well at night with that thing tuked in my trunk beside my bed :)
It's not over rated or inflated price, it's just not for first timers lol.

ok, here's the thing, haste for a nin cuts recast down, the faster he gets shadows back up the easier tanking becomes, so Utsusemi: Ni has recast time of 45 sec, with this belt on at start of the cast that recast becomes 42.7 sec, added with other haste nin can get, turban 5%, Fuma Sune-ate 3%, Dusk gloves 3%, Byakko's Haidate 5% all on at time of cast that's a total of 22% haste and the recast becomes 35.1 seconds, then allong with march and haste from whm or rdm you can prolly bring that down to 30 or lower, so that's why this belt is godly to a nin.
and btw it's not dropped by king A any more, it's a rare/ex version of it he now drops, but he also drops between 1 and 3 D-Cloths too, so getting claim proves tough, you'll have better odds going for the swift belt dropped by the NM formor in Sacarium.

Happy is correct, you get better gear as you play more. A speed belt is'nt the first thing you go and buy. Also if you see someone with this they most likely got the drop and did not buy it, and if they did buy it, they probably could make the money back in a couple weeks. and for you r-tards that are saying "SIX?! its just SIX!" yeah six haste is insane, look at byakko's haidate or a walahra turban, those are only 5% haste and you see every ninja wearing them. ALSO the brown belt can only be worn my MNK making it not so saught after, were as this belt is 13 jobs. so next time you want to complain or make a nasty statment about it, take your hands off the keyboard, take a deap breath, and just relize that your and idiot.

so many ppl calling this completely overrated...ill try to explain its price, but its complicated so cut me some slack.
i sure as hell wouldnt buy this belt now even though its the best around, because you could buy alot of other things for this price. you buy this gear when u have all the other gear u need and this is the best buy for what u get for ur gil. all these ppl with like 1 job nearing 75 stare at the price without thinkning. this gear wasn't intended to be something u buy ur first climb to 75. the thing is, this is supposed to be one of the latter pieces of gear ppl get, so its high in price because this is one of the few things left they would like to have.
ex: suppose u see someone with 1 of these beauts. stop drooling over the belt, and look at the rest of their gear. its nice isnt it? this obviously wasn't the first enviable item they got. they slowly built up their gear so that this belt was well worth 30m~ to finish out their perfect stats.

I would just like to add that everyone makes money off this thing not for its ubber stats, but for how hard it is to obtain one of these. But you really have to think if you had ubbed out haste gear with this belt and a whm haste spell casted on you. It would be amazing set up to see drg or drk wield there weapon at such great speed. Me personally I would love to get one of these. But i dont have ifinit # of gil, so im left with convincing my link and some others to hunt this crab and get a drop. Sounds easy ! NOT!!!!!!

DRG are the second to last to need this. Samurai being last because of meditate. Seeing as jump and high jump give you instant attacks, weapons with tons of damage and long delay (meaning more tp), and like hecatomb, are better for drg. A life belt is what I suggest for you sir. Good up to lvl75, where you can swap for warwolf on ws.
Sam last to get it? I got this belt only for my Sam (although I will surely use it on my other jobs as well =) Sam needs Store TP and Haste to get TP faster. Saying "Sam doesn't need this belt because of Meditate" is like saying "Rdm don't need to wear their pimp hat because they already have Fast Cast" or "Warrior's shouldn't wear Brutal Earring because they already have Double Attack job trait".

The only way I would use this equipment is if I happened upon the MOB itself. I can't see 6% haste being worth over a mil. Maybe I'll do something unusual like have a WHM or RDM in my party.

i'd like to know why anyone in their rigt mind would spend as much as 60-100 MILLION on this belt.... its 6% haste... maybe if it was like 20% haste or like 6% haste and some other super good stats but... being a long term player of this game, it takes a LONG time to make 60-100 M I L L I O N gil to spend on such a worthless 6% quickness added to actions... dont get me wrong i'd love to use this but... on my server (kujata) a scorp harness is 5.2 mil so if you round that to about 5 mil, your saying you would trade someone 6 scorpion harnesses for a belt that gives u less haste than a brown belt? are you insane?

I have been in so many pts that the mage either doesn't have haste, or will not cast it that this is now on my list of items to try and farm... I just hope I can get one before I finish lvling my war to 37... But I doubt it...

It's to lower recast timer on Utsusemi for the War/Nin's or Nin/War's.

such a pity that people would pay 10 mil for something they'll never even notice while fighting lol.

While I agree it's not worth 10 million, I have to disagree about not noticing 6% haste. I do war/drg right now, level 40 with a Wyvern Earring and Blitz Ring equipped, Royal Squire's Mufflers and a Venerer's Ring for Acc. I use 1 handed Axes and for now, my Delay and DoT is the same as a War/Nin's. These effectively put my delay closer to 2seconds than to the 3seconds on most 1hand axes. I was connecting more often than the War/Nin, and Double Attack was firing off more often(I fired off 3 in a row at once point, new personal record). If I could get this item for war and haste +12%, my 1hand axe would be almost the same as using a dagger! Add 5 more levels to hit War60/Drg30, and I get the innate Drg Bonus that my Life Belt would've given, so I'd be hitting faster and more accurately. Now, while at that level I would need to way the effectiveness, and 10mil+ is a lot of gil on an experiment, I think it would be worth it, especially if 12% haste would give me near the same 2 swings in the time it takes a War/Nin to make the same attack with Dual Wield II.

Ideal idea for me is lvl 72 War/Drg with: Wyvern Earring, Blitz Ring, Dusk Ledelsens, Dusk Gloves, Byakko Haidate, Sonic Belt, and perhaps a Wyvern Targe for 1hand axe DD: Haste 23%, 25% with the +1 Gloves and Ledelsens.

Lvl 72 War/Drg with the same equipment for the one hand axe DD setup, but change an acc ring(Toreador, I want *drool*) for an MP ring, maybe the mana ring and a good rdm to refresh me along with the Rune Chopper(Haste+9%): Haste+32-34%.

WAR/NIN @72 (Even though Byakko Haidate are 75) Can have same haste as WAR/DRG, Just use Suppanomimi, Haste+5% just like Wyvern Earring. Only this time you're getting off hand stat boost, Juggy anyone? (+30Attack and +3STR). WAR/DRG.. not worthwhile imo.

This thing is about 6-9 million on Fairy the Sonic belt is cheeper. i dont know why cuz sonic belt has 3 defense,,, must be cuz its like 11 levels higher
the sonic belt is cheaper cuz the crafters who used the speed belt to make the sonic belt sold it cheaper so they could buy a new speed belt to retry making a sonic belt +1
