As of last night's update, the Kraken Club now drops from BCNM60 Up In Arms in the Waughroon Shrine. It no longer drops from Lord of Onzozo.

LoO doesn't drop K club after the update. OWNED!

Some say it's because the drop rate has increased. Whether this is true or not I don't know, but as you all know the longer the game exists the number of this item will slowly become more availible to the population which leads to a decrease in rarity causing it to be seen and sold more causing price to fall slighty if at all.
Though this item is still extremely expensive when sold through shouts I'm sure you've noticed that it's not as expensive as it used to be as are many other items. Why is this?
Well, aside from becoming more common if you've been reading the updates from SE you've seen them posting on thousands of accounts (gil sellers and third party program users) being banned along with billions of gil being deleted as well. This is why the price is dropping on this item. The amount of gil that is flowing through the servers are decreasing causing the inflation of gil (which causes everything to be more expensive) to drop. How does this relate to this item?
Well, plain and simple no one can afford to pay the obscene amount of gil that this item used to cost! And on top of that as gil & gil-sellers are being deleted people are trying to sell the item now to get as much gil as they can to keep for themselves before the inflation of gil drops even more.
Basically you sell this item for 60 million right now and just HOLD onto that gil and let the inflation and prices of everything continue to drop. Once this happens your 60mil is worth a lot more now than when you first obtained it. You'll be able to rebuy this item back for less along with other items you've wanted. That's my belief on why people are trying to sell these a lot more now.
Anyways, imagine if this item wasn't "rare." Duel wield kraken clubs FTW!! lol

I'm from Lakshmi and I have seen shouts recently from people selling this pretty little thing for 60mill gil, still not cheap, but at least not stupidly expensive as it was before (more than 100mill, that means hours and hours of farming, crafting, etc... I'll rather go out my friends, watch TV or anything else with all that time: " FRIENDS > TV > 1 game item " lol, don't you think the same?).
I hope the price keeps falling this fast so I can put my hands on one (maybe it falls to like 20mill... in a distant future..., but still possible!). That would really make this TARU happy!!! (^_^)y

i'm bored so here's a post.
i sold my soul for one of these bad boys a couple weeks ago. a properly geared kc ranger can out DD anyone in xp. a properly geared kc drk can deal the most damage in the shortest amount of time vs any other job in the game.
this was me just having some fun outside al zhabi the other day:

im in love with this club, i plan on doing anytinhg i can to buy it but im not sure what the best way is. im 60 whm so any sugestions would be greatly appreciated.

kraken is pimp **** giving mob tp is an issue but i was in ballista uncapped with a guy holding this and Ridell blm sleepga 5 of us DRK did souleater bloodweapon he wiped us all out without any of us touching hes hp all 5 ppl went down like anything and if its not that good why is it one of maybe the main way 2 kill AV the strongest mob in the game? question answered Kraken rules!
Kraken Club is extremely addictive. It's very fun, even if you get use to it, it's still fun. As far as uses, limited of course. But when you can use this, it's wonderful.
On my war it's improved our sea and limbus mob kill times (mob dependant), and I have still yet to take it to a tp spam party. Typical party combo's would likey be hurt by this club (again mob dependant).
On nin, once I hit 63 I broke this out. It took an average setup and sped up kill times a good deal. Of course these particular mobs didn't spam nasty AoE's, and nin club skill is semi crap, but it was still a much faster TP build than katana x2. It wasn't bad taking any TP moves the mob gave as well.
It's a very situational piece, IF you have gil to spend or time to camp for it, it's worth it imo.
This all excludes it's uses for drk/nin using 2hr come LS event time as well.
For people that ask "Why would anyone buy this?" I can't speak for everyone, but once you reach a certian threshold of gil and items, there's simply no more items left to purchase, gil becomes irrelevant.
While some people might have endless days to camp LoO window for 30 days straight, where 1 or 2 clubs might drop, others like myself who has crafted for about 3 years now, has time constraints for NM windows.
After finally reaching the point of satisfaction with gil and items, it was time to renew a small amount of entertainment through both a Kraken club and Speed belt purchase, for myself personally.

K-Club is one of the best weapons in the game period. Anyone that says other wise is just a HATER, and wishes they had one.

Stop me if this is the most retarded question ever but would this be good for a PLD tanking? Just a thought, I mean the constant attacks would build a crap load of hate while still dealing some damage if you have good club skill.
It's rather retarded >.>... if you want to think of it like that since even if you get like 10~40% TP every round from it the mob will get like 14~56% TP from it every round, basically 2% more every hit so you will really build up the mobs TP and get TP abilities done on you alot more often... it can speed battles up of course but as far as tanking goes it won't really change how well you will hold hate. Faster battles tho >.>... =P.

If PLDs do a good job tanking anyway and this didn't change it atall then why NOT use it if parties will go faster? >_> I'll just shut up now.
Think anyone would trade a Kraken Club for a Cursed Togi -1? The togi's a lot rarer.

personally i think this is the stupidest weapon in the game and anyone willing to pay 200+ mil for it needs to be shot >.>
It's not everyone else that's stupid, it's you for your ignorance. This thing is more valuable than many relic weapons to a lot of people.

Ok over the past few weeks I start to see like 15ppl selling Kraken. Ive also been told that the Drop Rate on this thing has been Bumped up to alot more then it use to be in one of the last few Updates. Anyone been see'n the same thing or heard anything about this. ??
Personally I would love to see all Drops:
Strider Boots, Cassie Earring, Kraken Club, Serket Ring, anda few other things be changed to rare/ex items. On my Server it is RMT vs RMT at every big ticket HNM window, mixxed in with a few Honest players. I dont even enjoy this game anymore. When 1/2 the time RMT get items > sells for gill > then sells back to ppl stupid enough to buy it. Don't buy gil, No more RMT. Simple as that.

nah i dont think drop rate has changed. just combination of more clubs on servers as they grow and more ppl camping it.
too bad this isnt for blu...adding insane tp to the mob would make learning spells easier
1. They need to make a sequall to this weapon, something like a Rare EX one. But have it say, "Cannont be equipped with Krakken Club" or more items in the game with that title, so people can stop complaining about these things, it could make the gaming => kraken club little less annoying.
2. The weapon could be like krakken club, but be cheaper, or Rare/ex (cheaper as it... make it a BCNM fight or... something, be creative) Maybe few less DMG and or +5 acc, or 2-4 hits, or somethng... "occasionnaly hits upto 4 hits"
3. It could be club, or staff, or...
4. Make it armor, add occassional Tripple attk. Rare/ex or... "bouncers...." title...
5. Make shield class a weapon class if somehow, in addition to that...?
6. It could be a very very fast weapon, and could have 1/1 Haste charge, Recast with... 3 hours. Lv. 50?
I don't know what or how something like this could help, but it's a decent idea outta me. Just small suggestion.

There's definitely no weapon like this that attacks up to EIGHT times, but, I can list some that attack more than once.
Mercurial Pole (dropped off Jormungand; Lv70 Staff; RARE/EX) has 2-4 attacks.
Ridill (dropped off Fafnir; Lv70 Sword, rare/ex) has 2-3 attacks.
Mercurial Sword (gained from quest; Lv62 Great Sword), has 2-3 attacks.
Soboro Sukehiro (dropped off Unstable Cluster in Riverne Site - #B01; Lv50 Great Katana, rare/ex), has 2-3 attacks.
Mercurial Kris (don't know how to get this atm but it's a Lv50 dagger), also attacks 2-3 times occasionally.
One of the most popular ones is Joyeuse (Lv70) which just occasionally attacks twice only.
One of the newer great axes - Amood (Lv75) - has a latent effect that grants "occasionally attacks twice" for the cost of lower base DMG but higher overall.
I think that's all of them that attack more than once.

Bahamut's Zaghnal (WAR/DRK/BST; Lv75 Scythe, rare/ex) - occasionally attacks 2-3 times.

I bought this, it was worth it, end of story. Though the price was a bit much for how much I use it, it's a great thing to show off with, and with this and and a Sea Robber Cudgel or Seawolf Cudgel and Rev. Mail a WHM/NIN can deal substantial DMG. And with that being said I"m glad i bought (175 mil)...
