I would just like to post that this is NOT Rare/Ex after March 7th update, nor does Serket drop a R/Ex version that I know of in place of Serket Ring. He still drops this ring with just a presumably lower drop rate.
Myself and 3 other LS mates were in Garlaige helping with a key hunt. 3 of us 75 and 1 70 (MNK likes punching skeles lol) with the 50ish PLD who needed key. As I ran down there i was thinking how i hadn't seen serket for awhile and was thinking about update and also thought he had a rare/ex drop now ala Lizzy and Emp. In the basement, sure enough, 4 RMT fighting him lol. I thought it was odd, maybe they didn't know ring was ex now? We watched as they fought it down to such a small sliver you could barely see serket's health... then.... they wiped! lol. The 4 of us rushed in and killed him in like 7 hits XD and the ring dropped. we were all pretty shocked, and our LS got a new toy. 2 of our mages are bouncing it around while we watch AH to see how history goes. I figure it could go either way especially if it drops from a KSNM now. Hopefully we can make some coin off this, but it was thrilling none the less.

I would just like to thank Smacky and his friends for helping me with the coffer key hunt. It was just a huge bonus to get to see the Serket drop this ring after the RMT wiped.

I can confirm this piece of equip drops from the Lachesis Orb.
Me and my fellow blm's were doing ksnm runs for ppl and finished our orbs as last. I had this piece of equipment dropped on my orb.

Does this ring actually Raise your Max MP by 50MP or just a convert, subtract 50 HP from your current HP level and fill your magic bar upto the 50MP line, when you equip it? I used an astral ring I won off a BCNM battle and my max MP did not move. it appeared to simply be a 25HP drain everytime I equipped it.

Your max MP does go up 25 MP when you equip an Astral Ring, but you do not gain 25 MP so in order to see the difference you had to check your stats or rest to full.

It basically takes 50 HP off of you and raises your MP by 50.

I think 1000s of people would like one (it's never needed) ... I doubt that 350k would even get you a chance to lot on it, let alone 100% chance of getting it. It doesn't always drop, and they're going for 8mil on Fenrir atm. =( I should have bought it back when it was 2mil.

Asura Price for this ring goes for 5 mill maybe a bit too much
This is a very nice upgrade to the astral ring for any mage class that can afford it. On the Shiva server it is going for about 3.2 million gil. I would say that a taru should save the money and stick with an astral ring and use the saved money to help buy a vermillion cloak at 59. However, a galka mage would do well to purchase this if one can afford it.
Bottom line is that is a nice ring, but save the 3million gil and just buy some pies for the extra MP. Much cheaper ^^

I was in in the citadel looking for a Coffer Key for my AF2 when our puller (lv75 blm) saw Serket. A quick invite to a couple ppl and we took it down. lv 75 rng/nin, 68whm/blm, 75blm/whm, 75pld/war, 75 rng/nin, 65brd/whm and me: 52rng/nin. Took a while but there wasn't a time when we were worried about dying. Got the ring, shield and some other items. There was a HNM LS camping it at the time too, 13 of them total, and 5 of us (we invited 2). Not a bad day for coffer key hunting.

Ive watched a high lvl RDM solo this NM on my server. I was also pting when it happened. I can tell you this only made me want to take my RDM to end game more now then ever.

Actually there's quite a few RDM's thathaved solo'd serket, and on my server, it seems to be common knowledge that rdm/nin can solo Serket. RDM's also have been rumored to solo behemoth. No not the unkown Behemoth, regular behemoth. This of course is hearsay.....but I have heard it from quite a few high level players, and I trut their opinions and witnessings.

These rings are amazing, but are not expensive for that reason lol. I saw an alliance fight that thing once while leveling in the the citadel, and saw firsthand how nasty its aoe attack is. I was upper 40's at the time and got 400+ damage done to me from far away. All the parties there died... I look forward to the day when I too will fight that scorpion and kill it worse than it did my party. Also, I think it's 5 mil on the cerberus server :(

The filters are there to SPARE us the trouble of reading uncorrect (or unpolite) messages, rated down by most people.
The error of that anonymous guy is perfectly normal... if you don't want to be misunderstood, use "/quote" for the sentence or message you're referring to. As I did. Otherwise, errors like these will happen veeeeery often. ^_-

It would be nice if the line that reads "X message(s) skipped by filter settings" was hyperlinked, so that you could reload the thread with just those messages unfiltered. It would also be nice if the thread indentation wasn't so big. You can't please all the people all the time though. ^_^
Geez.. my comment sure got rated down a heck of a lot. I agree, don't rate someone down unless you remove your chat filters. I was replying to the ignorant hypocrite named gananndorf, who's comment has a 1.07 rating. But because most of you can't see his comment because of filters, you assumed I was incorrectly flaming Anonymous, therefore you rated me down. C'est la vie.
