Man, i lost over 20k cause i had confidence in allakhazam. i made that with ww65/smithing9. Toooooooo low!
But Allakhazam is one of the best pages. I know thats hard work to update thousands of items, but trust us that smithing is also needed :-)

I knew this would require Smithing Skill, since every other XBow does. Assuming the easy route, I bought 120k worth of materials to synth them for guild points...Smithing was only 8, when I started...
Please update this. Smithing skill should be atleast 15-20 to have a good success rate.

Sorry about this post I made a long time ago, but please fix this? Well, I sent in a report about 7 months or whatever a ago, and it had already been inaccurate for at least 8 months at that time. Still not fixed I see. {/no}
I thought I could profit off this, but it yielded horrible losses and breaks. In the end I got +.1 Smithing skill.

These *do* require smithing skill.
Woodworking is 54, smithing is 7; I consistantly got .3 skillups in Smithing, and broke far more synths than my Woodworking skill alone accounted for. Probably requires smithing skill of 14+.

I tried making one of these for my GF and was tryin to HQ it. Bought the materials for 5 synths and after invseting all that money and failing all 5 times another player next to me said i would need to lvl smithing up to atleast 20 to get a good synth rate and any chance in hell of hq'n it /cry

I also bought all of the materials to try and make zamburak +1 with 59 woodworking. But when I found out, as I had figured, that smithing was required as a sub craft instead of selling my 160k worth of materials back I am going to level smithing until i can HQ these and get my money back. I recently tried with smithing 13, it let me synth them but on the fourth try i got a .1 skill up for smithing =(. I am currently at 16 smithing and am going to go to 30 to be sure that I can HQ.

Level 65 woodworking, attempting to sign one for my ranger. This craft was beyond my current skill lvl... o.O. So it definitely requires another skill, which means i have a ton of materials to sell back no /sigh.

this definately requires another skill to sythesize. i tried making one at lvl 59 woodworking and couldn't do it. i would imagine that it needs smithing as a steel ingot is used.

I must agree with you. Even though the Woodworking guild NPCs do not mention that Crossbows require any Smithing skill, here is what I noticed when I recently synthesized a Crossbow successfully with advanced Smithing imaging enhancement: "Your Smithing skill went up by 0.1". This was on a regular Crossbow (not Zamburak), and my Smithing skill was 6 at the time.
