has anyone heard anything about black chocobo before? not sure if a friend was teasing or not but he said that i should keep all my feather and find a japanesse player and they will tell me how to get one
you should use these to level clothcraft from 65-72. you want get much sell back off of them but dont let that fool you. you wont have to spend as much if you go the silk headband to 69 and battle bracers to 72.
plus the recipe is much easier. i suggest finding a friend who has max fame to buy them for you. ive heard of some people paying 1700 for one, i dont have max fame at all and im getting them for about 1200 each.
sell back on valefor is about 2800 on valefor at the ah. seven have sold in the past 24 hours. try selling them in sandy maybe? slight loss but what can you do. welcome to crafting.

Ok, after trying every single AH and the choco stables in windy and sandy I found out the key. You can only buy it from the chocobo stable which is in first Place(Usually sandy on my server) And you have to be a resident of that city. Luckily I had a mule in sandy whos native there. Hope it helps.
well ore kind of makes more sense b/c the plant could be absorbing the metal from the soil... same thing for crystals i guess. but this is supposed to be a magical world so all sorts of stuff could happen that isn't "realistic" so... i don't know why i'm ranting about this.
I planted a tree cutting in an earthen pot, gave it an Ice crystal and then a dark crystal. I harvested 4 black chocobo feathers. I don't really track the days, the yield varies but not the results.

Plant a bag of tree cuttings. Feed it a Dark Crystal, then an Earth Crystal. Harvest it on Earthsday and you might get them. :)
