I went in with a high-level THF, and he killed one Yagudo Abbot and the water dropped. w00t.

Where exactly can I find the Yagudo Abbot in the Castle Oztroja map. I really need to find these mobs for the yagudo holy water drop. Is there a location where these drops are common?

They are kinda deep withing the castle, but not too deep within. You have to go to the upper part of the castle. Start by going to J-8 of the first map and hit the switch by the trap door (careful, one switch opens the door, one opens a trap door to fall through). Once through, there is a switch on the other side, incase not all of your party made it through. Best to use a blm with Escape to hit the switch. That leads to the deeper parts of the castle. They can be found pretty regularly back there.
As for the drop rate, it's pretty common. We got one after 1 or 2 kills. Also, while camping Mee Deggi, others in the party were off killing stuff and got 2 more of them. These and the Parasite Skins (WAR AF) were fairly common.
Hope that helps. I wish I could give better directions, but I stopped looking at the map once we got deep in, and there are so many maps for that place too, lol. I wish blm AF was there and not in Castle Zvahl ; ;

Very easy to get. Went last night with a 74 blm and got the water on the first drop

This is a Rare/EX item but it drops like a damn insect wing so its very common from abbots and no thief needed
You are correct it is not that "Rare." We got 2 in 3 hours while in a skill up party at castle Oz. We had no Thief in the party either.
Now on the other hand (on Ifrit server) it took 3 real life days to find a AH w/ the moccasins.

Seeing as you can't buy it at the AH, I would say it's EX for sure. And it's not really 'rare'. It's less rare than mocassins are...
