im reading how much this cost back then, as of this post (1/8/08) the life belt goes for 10K!! in cerberus lool
talk about fluctuating markets, i hope the price goes back up when i come to sell it.

Friggin ROBBED... so much for "farming" these... First time thru - Obtained LifeBelt... afterwards, the key is a PITA (Pain In The Ass) to get to drop, and then, 5400 gil?!?!? WTF?!?!? Good thing I was home alone... my GF'd'a murdered me for the screaming I did... Sadly, the joke was on me - I sold the first one for 80K (going rate on Bahamut atm), this one was for me... ><

Can anyone let me know what lvl the mobs are around fei'yin and if id be able to go get the cest with a lvl 51drk/25war...

I got mine for free ^^ but on Ramuh server it goes for about 350k.

i see lots of ppl complaining about inflation this inflation that... ya its bad... but if u had... say a life belt that u wanted to sell. i guaruntee u wouldnt stick on up on AH for 200k less than the 400k price... just because u think the inflation is bad... u want to make the max for ur items just like everyone else... plz stop complaining and go farm one urself if u dont like it ^-^)b

Life Belt on Sylph is now 300k. Over the past week prices have multilplied. WTF?

yep u all think 120k is bad well lifebelt on Fairyu is almost 200k. i can aford it, but i am camping lantern shield NM so i can sell that and buy the belt.

Yeah, inflation just keeps going. I bought one almost 2 years ago for my pld for maybe 30k (and dont say it sucks for pld. you have no idea how happy the rangers in my PTs were that i could open every other fight with Spitits Within) then sold it for 70k, now i have to buy it back again for 120k :(

I have noticed quite a few Summoners wearing this belt and was wondering if maybe it had a hidden effect. Maybe the summoners i've seen wearing were just using it to solo but it never hurts to make sure sooo...hidden effect or no?

Ahhh, price is set at a wonderful 90k over on Gilgamesh. I'm headed out to pop the coffers on it, to make some cash in between farming.

I actualy have some with me being a PLD. Before you all jump on me, i carry with me 3 belts at all times. Most are standard PLD belts that give VIT or all other stats besides VIT like my RK belt. I have macro's to switch them to what the situation demands. (more def, more stats, more hits)

But the point is, it's actualy very helpfull to PLD, especialy us Elvaan PLD. We don't hit so much, we have low DEX but high natural VIT. For mobs that have high evasion, i usualy switch out my RK or Warrior+1 for my Life Belt. On the Anticans for instance. The effect is realy noticable. More hits equals more hate. Hate is rarely lost, besides on petrification moves that reset hate. The Life Belt is good as long as the damage i take doesn't get too high, i'm usualy doing just fine if not better than with other equipment. Can switch to VIT belt and replace my TM espadon with my AF weapon within a second if i have to though.

Went for 100k on Kujata, but it was worth it.

do u just go to fei'yin and open any chest to get the life belt? or do u have to have a quest activated to get it out of a chest?

Most Melee jobs will want this earlier, but Thfs can usually get away with out using it till around lvl 60. But at 60, it's a must. The reason is, that nice Weapon Skill known as Dancing Edge. It's very difficult to land all 5 hits of that on, say, a Torama. Those things have some nice evasion on them, and hoping that all 5 hits will land is just dreaming.
I found this out the hardway when my SATA + DE was doing barely any damage to the Toramas yet doing much more damage against the Goblins whose evasion is much lower.

Edit: Well, haven't had a chance yet to test it against Toramas, but I have against others and noticed quite an increase in damage. Sometimes it's very noticeable, sometimes it's not, I think some of it might also be with the high def mobs as well.
That and the price on this belt is MUCH cheaper than the price of Sniper's Rings with only grant +5 Accuracy. On Bahamut the belt goes for 80k where as one ring goes for 600k. That and the rings would probably get swapped out anyway for SATA for Dex rings. Though I just got one, so I'm not really sure how much difference it will make, but I'll make sure to let you know once I find out.

Why does it cost 100k on Midgar...? I really need it as a PLD. I wanted to just find the chest and key in Fei'Yin, but being only lvl 50 I'd need a whold group of people willing to give up some time. Someone just buy it for me XD

I wonder if thieves would be needing this? And Im a Elvaan Thief so my accuracy is pretty bad.

100k on Phoenix...went up 30k in 3 days.

I bougt it last night for 75k in garuda thnk god Garuda is getting a bit cheaper not much but something is good =).
