1/4. The first 3 CCC's popped around the 2 hour mark. The fourth popped after 3.5 hours and dropped the sword. Perhaps longer spawn increases chance of drop.
Also had TH1 on all 4 attempts.

Just killed it again, 4 minutes ago on Midgardsormr server.

I'm 0/3 on this mofo and counting! I WANT ITTTT

Nadrs is also a very uncommon/rare appraisal of the ??? sword that drops from CCC in Nyzul Isle.

We had this happen last week - the sword went to one of the party members.

I got today after about 5 tries more or less, with Treasure Hunter 1 & 2 + Thief Knife. I was basically very lucky that no one camps this, because the drop rate isn't too good. It seems like a nice piece to have for that level but nothing extraordinary. It's something nice for people to see when they examine you. Ofcourse, it's a very decent piece to use up until about level 30 When you get that sword with acc +3 and att+4 which I think is called Centurion's sword.

Anyways, I tested it out on regular mobs in Korroloka like spiders. The proc rate of the additional effect of poison is not too great. I still haven't checked if it's a powerful poison versus lower level mobs like Qufim ones (it's level 24, so it'll be used in that area or in level capped areas). Afterwards, I tested it on Aquans like fish to see if it had some sort of hidden effect, and the additional effect did not proct more, nor did I notice anything hidden. Lastly, I tested this on crabs in the area since this is dropped from a crab. I didn't notice more proc rate on crabs, nor did I notice any other hidden effect versus crabs.

I'm keeping it for level capped areas.

im now the proud owner of this sword. i went 1/2 so after reading this i guess i got pretty lucky. first time i showed up and tried to solo him as a 36 bst/whm, got him down to just under 60% before he pwned me. came back later with a 75 thf friend and got the drop. ^^

Hi all!!! Well currently 0/9 on the Nadrs. There are a few things I noticed that may help people. Although his pop time could be 1-3 hours, I am fairly convinced on the average is about 2hrs. You only have to kill the one clipper to the east or west of the bridge...the one sitting in the little pools. Respawn time of the clippers are about 10 to 13 mins. Rarely have I seen a 10 min respawn though. Typically I put my spells up in place at the 10 min. mark and it usually pops just before or just as my refresh wears...so typically 13 min.

I might be able to help with some of the truths and un-truths about Cargo Crab Cheapass. He did use his poison ability on me the very first one I fought...obviously no drop. He has never attempted it since then...I can say that if it happens its not 100% it will drop...but does it increase the odds...maybe...thats something I am still testing.

I have killed the Sea Monk 5 outta the 9 times...still spawned after 2hrs. Didn't seem to matter for him spawning or not. One thing I observed was that the Sea Monk did respawn shortly after CCC's pop. So I am testing now whether you kill the Sea Monk closer to the time of the pop that it will make a difference.

Doesn't seem to matter what pool the Greater Pugil is in. Cargo Crap Cheapass spawns in the area near the bridge every time I have killed it, never seen a pool spawn yet. Sometimes right on the bridge or next to each corresponding chasm on either side of the bridge and can be on the east or west side. So really in total you need to keep track of 5 spawn points...which is very easy.

He drops 1200 gil, 2 crab meat, & crab shell everytime I have killed him. Finally yes!!! he is miser(which is why my LS and myself have adopted his new name...lol)with his drops if you go 1/1 consider yourself very very lucky. I seriously am hoping the guy that wrote he went 1/40 was exaggerating...lol. Although I have only killed him nine times, I have seen 30+ spawns whether it be other campers or friends. From the other players that I have confirmed results it has dropped about 2 in 26 kills. Some players wouldn't acknowledge my inquiries so it may have dropped more. I have a feeling the drop rate is less than 10% though. Hope this information helps anyone looking for this awsome sword. I will update when I acquire accurate data.



***Edit*** Finally went 1/21 on the sword. I am convinced the Sea Monk does not have anything to do with Cargo spawning or not spawning. Cargo still spawn every time on time when he should have when the monk was dead or alive. Also the poison ability doesn't seem to make a difference in drop rate at all. In reality I believe there isn't anything "special" about Cargo...he seems to act just like every other pop NM in the game. He is just very boring to camp and I believe people notice things that aren't really anything to just occupy their mind. One thing true about him though is that his drop rate is filthy awful. From the data I got, I calculate the drop rate out to being roughly a little less than 5%.

1/2 on DRG/THF. I was down farming slimes one day a few months ago and CCC was up unclaimed. All on his lonesome. I'd camped him with a MNK friend of mine before, but we didn't get the drop for him (he was lvling BLU).

So I killed the little bugger and out pops a Nadrs. Suffice to say I'm pleasantly surprised. I was thinking of lvling BLU for DRG sub anyway, so I can't complain. It's a pretty sword. I've bazaared with it on using my WAR sub just because I could (what can I say? I'm easily contented.)

Currently I am 0/20 on Mr. Crab. We have become good friends over the past few weeks. Sometimes I have nothing else to do, that is when I say to my self "Hey self, I should go check in on my favorite crab, who knows today could be the day he is actually carrying cargo." Alas, it is never the day. I am beginning to hold the Nadrs in such high regard that it could possibly be a mythical weapon. I have almost forgotten the reason why I wanted this sword. Sure it looks cool and everything, but is it really worth it? Everyone should at least meet Colin once, but if he isn't generous and doesn't give you that 1/1 rate I would recommend finding another NM to be friends with. If you really want though, pop in after two hours from when you last saw him, check and see how he is doing and if he has anything for you. It may be a long and vicious cycle, but I know one day Mr. Crab will learn that I only think good thoughts of him, and he will be selfless enough to part with this treasure of his. Until that day, we will see each other quite often Colin. ^_^

What are does CCC mostly spawn in?

not to rain on anyone's parade, but i'm 1/1. killed CCC as WHM which surprised me since i never get any drops with that job.

on another note: i'm not sure if this is true but i've heard that killing the Manta that is near the spawn point will keep CCC from spawning.

1/7 on this, and made about 15k from the normal crab drops to boot :) finally got the bastard though, and it looks sooooooooooo sweet.

To reiterate what others have said, yes the drop rate is horrendous. I killed CCC 10 times before he finally dropped the sword. I really wanted it because I love the design of the sword and it is the same model as the BLU AF sword, so you can dual wield them and look real bad ass.

On the bright side, you can farm Slime Oil while waiting on the 12 minute repop timer and make a few gil off that, and if you sub THF you can mug him for 500-1000K gil.

Where does this Stupid Crab Pop? Whats the pos? I need it for my 25 Blu

I think that this is one of the best looking swords for its design.
Just how it is a curved blade, we need more curved blades.

Well my stats on this NM is as miserable as some, 0/8, 4 days wasted after work and the question I keep asking myself is WHY? Well it is a cool looking sword, and since my blu is 24 i figure why not. Now the pop rate is 2-3hrs, clipper in area is the place holder, and I usually farm the Water Elementals and Slime in area. 50 rdm/Rng, this is pretty simple NM, now my concern is once I get the sword drop, do you think I can get a 2nd to dual wield? Or am I just looking for pain?

slime oil going for 35k a stack and Water cluster 2k in jeuno each, i make pretty good gil even if I waste away trying for the drop. This of course in Queztlecoat server. Just make sure to leave the jammer Leeches alone until your 75 ish, got too bored one day and learned the hard way.

I heard about this sword and was planning on leveling blu in the future so I figured Id go check the spawn area before bed. No one else was there, saw a crab and killed it, 13 min. later NM pops and drops 2 meat, shell and sword. I put it in storage for later then went to bed.

1/1 killed about 4 PH's in under a hour, wasnt really paying attention but yep got it easily 68mnk/thf used 2hr though just to get it done faster so i can lvl my blu

I just beat him today. Took about 2.5 hrs of camping for one pop. I counted the time from death of PH to the spawn of PH and found it to be 12 minutes. I beat him as Pld50/NIN18 (dont mind the gimped sub). it was very easy to recast utsusemi since he missed so much. he missed once about every 4-5 hits, and i have evasion -10. soo with a 12 minute respawn the wait isnt exactly exciting, but its pretty easy.

So... 12 minute respawn for the PH. He spawns in the water no matter what, but CCC didnt.
His accuracy and damge were horrible. Hit me for 15-25 dmg and missed once every 4-5 trys.
His defence is very high. I was doing 18-30 dmg until he used that Defence+ spell, which caused me to hit for 3-10.

Main thing for me was to keep utsusemi up as much as i could, and use Regen food. For a level 50 job i'd advise either /NIN or /WHM. That gives you your best chance of killing it easily.

Oh, and i didnt get the drop 8 (

Having trouble gettting the drop, and some ppl think that this drop is very hard, I solo/duo this on my 60pld/war and my npc 32 fighter, but still no drops, ive heard that this nm isnt effected by TH or TH2 but I dont really understand, because TH and TH2 help recive rarer drops.....

I saw this sword on another random guy in Jeuno, then looked it up to see how to get it...so I decided to go for it.

Everything else, my tanking gear.

I got there, and there were no clippers. About 5 minutes later, one spawned. I think someone was passing by and killed it or something. But About an hour later, killing clippers ever 13 minutes, he finally spawned. No one was around, so I didn't have to fight for claim. I provoked, and just didn't use any abilities like berserk or anything. He hit me for 9-30 damage. Averaging out around 15-20 damage. A critical hit, which he hit me for once, hit me for 51. I was doing 15-39 damage, and I crit him for 73. I was biding my time until I had 300TP. I cured (only required Cure III) to max health, and used Spirits Within for a grand total of 605 damage, which took him to about half life.

Long story short. Killed him with ease. He dropped this on the first try, as well as 1200 gil, 2 land crab meat, and a crab shell.

Got this last night for my BLU I went 0/7 previously on it then I decided to camp it again. Waited 6 hours for him to pop.....6....HOURS!!

Anyways he pops..I get him..get drop. ^_^

Camped this as a 43 drk/thf. not too hard just had to have to high potions. i was 1/6 on it with about a 3 hour spawn time
