+10Brd can use it, bst cant! Brd can use more shields at lvl 30 if I remember probalby bcnm drops they are 100K+ each. There are like 5 of those shields!

A new Sheild has been added with the last patch.
Elegant Shield Lvl 40 Bard Only.
Gives 1 def, 6 mp, and 1 chr. Not that great but can still block.

Either way guys, its a godly shield for any job. I really wish my Paladin could use it. That physical damage -10% would make me godly.

I'd still take an earth/tera staff over sheild. You loose -10% for shield that'd rarely block even on capped skill on hnm's.
earth staff is only useful for HNMs

Sad to see a guy with a lvl 75 job believe that Earth Staff is only useful for HNM. I am glad that there are people that aren't that narrow minded and realize the fable is total BS

I've seen a bard with this shield on before, a tarutaru bard carrying what I thought was a shell shield in Jeuno. I laughed, then checked it, my jaw just.. dropped.

Look at the damn picture, it tells your the job. Bards can obvoisly wwear it, and no Beastmasters can't.

Bard can equip shield ..but only at high level.. I think they can equip the serket sheidl and this ... As far as I know.

I'm pretty sure this is the ONLY shield Bard's can Equip
Bards can equip all of the lvl 30 BCNM drop shields, but none of them are particularly useful. At 40 BRD can equip the Elegant shield (+6MP, +1CHR) and then finally end-game the Genbu's shield. That's it, during 75 levels you can have two shields that are useful. :)
And no, apart from some melee RDMs don't see other jobs ever using this for XPing (staves are better) but for farming/soloing this would be wonderful.
