Hy i did the quest got it im lvl 40thief/nin still use it naw it gets better for every lvl...and yes it comes back!!!

in reality the difference is in what slot it is equipped in, if it is equipped in the range slot it is returning, if it equips as ammo, it is non-returning, it's THAT simple.

... you moron. You can't equip a boomerang in the ammo slot. So you can't equip this in the ammo slot. Is it that hard to comprehend?

astralagos and tathlums do not return, the way you can tell it doesnt is if it has a quantity. why would there be a quantity if it came back to you? ;)

Thrown weapons that return sit in the 'ranged' slot. Thrown weapons you lose sit in 'ammo' slot.

Boomerangs and Chakrams both return. I don't know about the Astralagos yet, I imagine it does.
