I'm on seraph, and wow, is it a bad time to be a crafter, or good if your lucky, i guess. All high end items, Hauby, scorp harness, this nice piece, stuff that people want, are dropping dramatically in price.. Why? constant undercutting of the piece.. why do people do this? Ive been trying to figure it out, there really is NO positive result to doing this, it makes everyone lose money... The crafting items are Not getting cheaper, but the synthed items are.. couple examples ill start with this sword here
Adaman Ingot price - 55k each
other stuff bout 10k total.
so Roughly 340k to attempt to synth this sword, and it really is an attempt because of the skill needed..
Swords listed price on AH - Roughly 100k...
HQ version of sword on AH- Undefined as only one person has a history of 1 gil to show they have the item.
Only way to not synth this item and not be in the whole a whopping 240k each time is to hope for an HQ on such a high level craft skill item?
I realize the money making for crafting comes mainly from HQ, but theres no way it should be this bad, especially considering how low HQ percent this is..
Same thing is happening with other popular items.. Haubergeon is at 160k last bid, but damascus ingot is going strong at 300k, not to mention the other mats for the synth. Venemous claw going strong at 200k, scorpion harness 130k.
Only thing that seems to be worth anyones 'hard-earned' money right now seems to be the new equipment pieces. Now they are very nice, but some of the prices for them are rediculous.. 5 mil for Zahak's Mail, yes its very nice and new.. but please take a look at it.. its not all that great.. you can get very similar if not better, for less..
