That's incorrect. The NPC merchant on the ferry DOES sell various kinds of fish, but Nebimonites are not among the list of available goods. The only way to get a Nebimonite is to fish it up (or buy it from someone else who's fished it up).

i have to say this.

The above paragraph stated by Saboruto the Silent
Sage is incorrect. I bought about 4 nebomnites the other day ON THE BOAT.

The fish on the boat that you can buy changes and i got nobinomites. Dont comment on things with facts which you do not have personal experience or its not widely known.

So summary:
Yes you can get nebominites on the boat just not every day as the fish list changes.

You can only buy nebimonites from merchants if a fisherman sells them to that fishing guild NPC.

~7k on Leviathan, not worth synthing it, since Nebimonites alone cost ~10k a stack, and the other methods are even more costly.

Please forgive the n00bism, but don't the Tenshodo NPCs in Lower Jeuno sell the same items? And if so, is the price more in Jeuno than Norg? I'll check this out myself later today, could save a long trip to Norg.

I have enough fame to get Utsumei and Tonko in Norg. I went to see what the NPC price of these was and it was twice the Shiva AH Price.

Love the rate-downs for me saving you the trip all the way out to Norg to find out these things sell for 800 gil a piece.

The price will vary based upon your fame and how many were sold the day before. Norg has a lot of great deals compared to the ah. People import from norg often.
