when SE made this stack out of 99 i think they should have made the yeild higher so not to make them scarce because of number of synths and high cost to make a stack. (12 synths for a normal 1 yield item to make a stack or 3 for arrows etc.) but this taking 17 synths just to make a stack, is a bad idea once again by SE.

Iron arrows are probably one of the better recipe's to use if skilling up woodworking. The problem is the demand, and availability of the Iron Arrowheads used to make them. On Alexander, not one stack of these have sold since the update that changed the stack qty of the arrowheads from 12 to 99. Another problem is selling them afterwards. They DO sell, but slowly. And if you ride this recipe out for 6 levels, you'll be sitting on TONS of Iron arrows.

The last stack ao arrowheads sold for 4k, a stack now would cost a pretty penny. Considering the cost and time it takes to make them. Lets see...

Iron Ingot x12: 40k
Copper Ingot x12: 20k
Wind Cystal x12: 3k
Total: 63k
Yield qty per synth: 6
Total synths to make a stack: 16.5

Only thing is this wont make a full stack of arrowheads. You would need approximately 1 and a half stacks (you'd come out with 99 + 3 arrowheads no breaks at the 17th synth, but lets keep it simple).

So total cost to make a stack would be around 94-95k if you didn't farm/mine/craft anything. So it used to take 2 synths to make a sellable stack of arrowheads. Now it takes 17. Which equates to about 68k a stack according to old prices.
============

What's the point to all this you ask? First, is of you're leveling WW, and decide to go this route, prepare to be selling Iron arrows for days to make back the funds spent, and they sell slow due to the all the Merchants that sell them. Not too many people buy quivers either because the average player will burn about 6 stacks before their next arrow update at the max.

Second is that it's too late for me. My woodworking is currently at 30. But perhaps someone can post a better, less time consuming recipe to skill up through the 20's in WW.

To make 12 of these you need

2 iron ingots 3-4 k each on Asura

2 Copper Ingots can make them for a bout 1k. A fire crystal sells for about 500 gil >.<

And two fire crystals which is about 1k

So to make it coasts about 9k. That's why I think no one makes these in the first place and if they sell them there are going to put a high price on them

That is because you can buy everything below iron arrows from NPC for less than cost to make them by hand.

I'm pretty sure these use wind crystals, and require around level 20 Blacksmithing.
