i see no difference with the bite rate.

lvl 88 fishing, full fishing gear w/ apron + waders, lu shang's + sliced cod.

in one stack of bait, I was able to catch 8 of these

Where you in North or South Qufim.. ive been trying in south with Cod also and nothing.. just lots of bluetail
I just OP warp out there and run south to the cliff... and i have been unable to land one of these

Fished for quite a while at Qufim south with sliced cod and all I got was black sole. Did these things die off? People need these. There was a guy shouting in Whitegate that he would play 10k each for these and I was just like "I don't know what to tell you buddy."

I think they may have changed the catch rate for these fish recently. I have been skilling up at the southern shore in Qufim for the past several months, catching Three-eyed fish and Black Sole using Lu Shangs and Sliced Cod. I normally caught these fish very frequently, but now it seems that they hardly bite at all.

Okay 2 hours trying to catch this fish on the cliff to the immediate left of the entrance tunnel with a Lu Shangs and Minnow... Caught nothing but Bluetails. Thought maybe they made some change where you cant catch it with Minnows so I switched to Sliced Cod... 3 hours later... 4 stacks of Black Sole and not one 3-eyed fish...

What am I doing wrong here?

You can fish these out of quifim island. Just as you come out of the tunnel go to your immediate left. I used a minnow and my lu shangs rod, but I think you'll be ok with a composite rod. I got one after my 3rd cast. They don't stack and they sell for 3k on the AH in Jeuno on Remora.
