2k each now :( not much for the rare drop
the new spiders in the expansion zones drop these too. And I'm told it is a better drop rate then the rest.

OK, I have a a lvl 60 rdm, 30 blm and 24 whm how can I get webs the best at this point? Btw my cloth is at 77 and I REALLY need some gil.

Wow with the recent inflation, these things are going for 60,000g a piece on Pandemonium! Insane. Well i guess it does benefit those who farm them.

These are a very good item to farm if you wanna make some Gil. As per usual, the higher level the spider the higher droprate. At 75, your best bet is Boyahda tree (as long as no one is exping off them).
They sell for quite a bit, but dont stack :(

In all the time I camped Dune Widow in East Altepa I got one off a regular spider. Every time you kill Dune Widow it drops 3 though. I was subbing THF, too.

I thought about maybe farming these tomorrow, being 15k a piece. Is it a rare drop? If it is, I'm just going to keep camping Spook and try to provoke it or whatever before the gilsellers do..

got about 10 yesterday while lvling, in boyada, i only got 3 :\ but i got my lvl 54, so im happy ^^ and 45K with lvl 54 is ALWAYS nice, lol. the thf was stealing them pretty easily also.

It go for 15k on Asura. Well, in the San d'Oria/Rabao AH, I did'nt check the others AH.
yes spider in three have a better drop rate of spider web than in altepa, it's very usefull for clothcraft only way to make rainbow thread who is very usefull for lvl 75+ clothcraft.
Goes for about 10k on Remora. Found 2 fairly easily when partying in Western Altepa

Giant Spiders in Eastern Altepa DO drop spider web as well. However, they drop it so rarely as to be ridiculous to attempt to farm from them. The drop rate could be as high as 1 in 50. After going onto my 12th time camping Dune Widow, I got one spider web from a giant spider.

The ones in the tree drop a lot faster then the ones in quicksands. I believe at least for spiders, the higher the level, the higher the drop rate.
The steal rate is also high in the tree it seems. Though i haven't tested quicksands yet.

Yes, rather easily, you could probably even handle a link.
Even with TH2 this is a very, very, very rare drop. Think Carbuncle's Ruby and you get the idea. Even stealing this item is very rare.
But then if it was a common drop it wouldn't sell for 7k now would it?
