Sniper's Ring  

No unfortunately you have to synth this ring.

But two good other rings are: Venerer Ring which gives Acc+3 from the Chasing Dreams quest, which is pretty easy, but time consuming.

And Shikaree Ring which is the R/EX version of the Archer's ring and gives acc+2 and racc+2 and can get from killing the Stroper Chyme in Ordelle Cave.

As of 9/1/05, i saw this for sale in Jueno AH at 18M on Fairy server. Skyrocketed!

The server migration put up prices on a lot of things but the sky rocket increase on these was the worst i saw for the gear i needed i got lucky and got my pair of a person leaving game

Prices on Remora shot to almost a million right after the server migration (up from just under 400k). After the update, prices have dropped to as low as 600k, and the current price is 880k. I think all the Rangers selling their gear is having more of an effect on our prices than the Archer Ring change, sadly...

Yea i really don't need these as a 58 drk, and who are you to talk about them when your a 73 blm, you don't need acc if it came out of your @ss and slapped you across your face.

They are only 500k each on Shiva. I got my first one for 480k and i need to do a couple ninjutsu scroll quests (Jubaku and Hojo) so i can have enough gil for a second one.

If I were a NIN who spent millions pumping out evasion, and for some reason I was wearing acc rings, I would wear Sniper's instead of Woodsmen's.

...and it would actually be excellent for a SAM/RNG. SAM/RNG is the winning combo of this last update it seems. Which works out awsome for me, cause I have been /RNG for the entire time.

You do realize the 26 other accuracy points has to do with you hitting more, or is i just that 1 ring?

Also, you must be partying with crappy rangers cuz I've talked to both 75 darks and rangers, and both say that a ranger outdamagaes anyone but a BLM.

got one today finally for 540k

It's not that hard to get Stroper Chyme; I'm 0/3 with it, but I have managed to claim it with the bots that are spaming voke. Hell, one even spawned behind the bot, it turned, looked at it, then turned around again; in that time, I was able to pull the bow, sling the arrow, then release and claim it.

On my server, one of her worst down there is a stupid chinese named boyhown; I claimed one he was running towards; so the whole time it takes me to kill it, the bot keeps on examining me and /poke-ing me, thought it was funny because it made me laugh.

Not all gillsellers are bad. You act like they're all evil people. They're not all bad they kind of help this terrible FFXI Economy. If people who don't know anything about the simplest form of Economy, buy low sell high, they'll sell for cheaper than the last sale of the item in AH because it "sells faster". Fact is it doesn't it only lowers the market in price and it also prevents sales of people's items that know even a minute amount of economy to even try to keep prices steady. Now this is kind of where gilsellers can help us, the players of FFXI, out. They sell something so high to prevent drops in price. If the item gets popular that price is going to shoot so high up because looking at how it's made the Sniper's Ring is gonna be sold at a high price. If, I don't mean to offend the people that are ignorant in economy because I'm not that good at it either, a person gets his hands on one that he didn't make he'd sell it lower than AH (Now I doubt many of these are sold in AH because they'd be sold in Jeuno and the PC would be taxed quite heavily). If that ring sells for lower than original sale that price is going to drop anywhere from 1k-100k now this effects the people who put it for sale in AH because they paid the taxes and it didn't sell in AH because someone doesn't know Economics. Now that price has to go in re-sell it at the current price pay the taxes on it again. Now I have to kind of burn on SE here, if an item doesnt sell shouldn't we get our tax money back or atleast some percentage of it? I mean I think the tax in Jeuno is like 13% or something like that so you sell a Snip ring for 550k they pay maybe right around 71,500 in tax. Now to me that's kind of alot just for tax. If it doesn't sell you re-sell it and pay another 68-70k in tax. Now adding that together thats over 100k just in tax for trying to sell an item. So not all gillsellers are bad don't go flaming some people because they're trying to help us out because they have some knowledge of Economy.

I don't think we nned to quit playing but we should boycott the items that the gillsellers sell and only buy them from people we know are not gill sells. Along with this we can lower the prices of the stuff. Paying 500k+ for a ring that is droped off a normal mob or the ring that it is used to craft is stupid.

gilsellers do NOT get paid as much as ige charges.
