I just bought it from AH for 3k. Killer Effects are a very important stat to boost, and outside of our AF pants how many items enhance this? The reason it is so cheap is because only BST can equip. Look at the set of LV.50 earrings that give Killer effects that can be equipped by all jobs... they sell for millions.

I have one of these equipped as part of my charm meacro, I have so much +CHR from other slots that I can get away with it.

This + AF legs gives very nice +Killer effect combination, very useful anytime you're looking at a pet swap or mischarm (or both, lol).

Only downside is that finding one of these is kinda rare - I had a mule checking Jeuno AH daily for almost a month before I got mine. Once you find it though, at least it's cheap. :)

Latent is activated by non-white HP. And seems to work better the closer you get to death.

I love this ring, love love love it, its saved my life so many times. Let me tell you something unknown about it: It gives you ALL killer effects +3. If you dont have the particular killer effect, you will get it anyway at a power of 3.

The Proof: http://www.art-machine.com/Tamers.jpg

Ive intimidated Jugs, Bombs, Dhalmels (before having Beast Killer) Skeletons, even a Dragon once! Get this ring and wear it at all times, the higher your lvl gets, the more oyull notice the outside-your-abilities intimidations. Dont get me wrong it'll still be rare, but its completely saved me from a finishing blow from arcana 2 times at least.

Yet another amazing BST gear that is so cheap cuz ppl dont know how aweseome it is. And thats fine by me! I'd wear 2 if i could.

Still, no one has verified this latent effect. I bought it for 1000 gil at the Jeuno AH on Bismarck, so I'll test it out and see when I get any noticable differences.

its so nice to be a beastmaster, even at level 10 you have a permenant paralyze effect. first for vermin, next for birds. (are bats vermin or birds? i know a bat isnt a bird but it is a flying mammal.. but Birdkiller seems to take effect on bats)

with +3, we'll get even more of an upper hand. because the effects work really well and often for me, oftentimes whenever something agro's me it gets intimidated, i still get first hit.

No, all birds dont fly... and yes bat = bird .. Wanna test it ? Charm a bat in korrolka tunnel and toss it at a worm. Worm=amorph > BIRD worm will imtimidate the bat.

Cockatrice and greater bird = bird but do not fly. Leeches(amorph) vs Cockatrice in Lab. O taught me that (cockatrice = bird and an ugly bird at that).

Vermin = BUGS : crawler, fly, beetle, wasp etc. (to lazy to list em all)

Bats are Birds not vermin. As hard as it is to believe this is true.

Bst gets inherent "Killer" abilities that acts almost like a Paralyze on the mobs that you have that affect on... so I'm guessing this just increases the effectiveness of those effects on these mobs and benefit you fighting.
