this axe is better then a gigant my reason why is the 2 dex id take accuracy over just brute force the str on gigant gives. the low delay is pretty good too my advice is do what im planing to do if your gaxe is underleved get this or a low delay axe and join some skill up grps lol.
Soloed the NM as a PLD72/WHM36 while leveling my NPC off of the Makara and such in the area. The NM actaully aggroed me, but I figured I could take him since he was hitting me for 20s and 30s. A few minutes into the fight he starts hitting a bit harder, and hitting criticals more often. If I didn't have Spirit Taker I would've lost to him. I got the axe, but my WAR is beyond its range of effectiveness. I'd give it to a friend if I could. :(
One thing to note: his Mighty Strikes outlasted my Invincible by maybe 10 seconds. Ouchies.
As far as the axe goes, it's a pretty good weapon... until Lv49. 3 levels of effectiveness aren't worth camping the NM for, but it's good to use if you already have it.

First time i saw this bad boy pop i was in a party of 47's if i recall correctly and we fought him we all took some pretty bad damage as the pld was getting d/c. but anyway to make it short we killed him and got all the drops including the axe. second time i saw him it was just me and a whm friend we were lvl 57 and 58 all i need to say is us=stoneskin up, goblin=health down, hahaha. took all of 4-5 minutes since neithger one of us can really do a lot of damage. but yea lost 100-200 health the whle time due to having to recast stoneskin and the gob getting a hit off. overall pretty easy.
I was lvling intunnel last night lvl 47 bst and sent my EM leech after a gob. I was surpprised when it got owned as can take on T Gobs. I then realised the name of the Gob. I thought what the hell and tried to take him out. I was running out of pets as most were T and the gobs were respawning. I thought to myself, the next person to come by I will invite. So this anon runs past and geuss what he wasa lvl 48 bst woot. So we duoed him but last 2 pets had to be jugs as no pets left. Got all but axe. it sure was an adrenalin rush

This seems like a good weapon for warriors subbing THF or MNK. This is better then the Raifu and the STR bonus is nice. I dont see what the CHR is needed for though..

chr has high evidence of helping with killer effects, and this is drk usable {arcana killer}
46 bst. Took about 15-20 minutes.
Went through a lot of pets, and got lucky.
The even match leech really did the most, so I kept leaving him and buying time for him to heal.

Me (lv. 45 bst) and a friend (lv. 46 bst), were so close to killing this guy as a duo. I only used 2-3 pets cuz almost everything was T in there, and my frined used about 6-7. Only thing that stopped us was goblin aggro.

I've had this axe in my MH since about lvl 40 and wasn't sure if it was any good. I was in my one and only party in Gustav Tunnel so far, and the party behind us needed help and offered us an alliance. We accepted, beat down our mob and then went and beat down their mob. Our party leader said to lot on everything, so we did and I got this axe, thought noting of it and put it in my MH. I didn't even realise that we were fighting an NM or that this drop was any good. I'm not taking WAR that high, but I hate to get rid of it. Wish I could give it to one of my LS buddies. It didn't seem hard for 12 level 40's to fight.

I'm sorry... possibly you should get warrior to 46, equip it, take lots of action shots, then drop it and never, ever have to worry about leveling warrior again! (even if they raise the level cap to 85 ^^;)

I saw this NM while stuck in Gustav. I don't have a WAR this level but someone in my LS does. NOBODY was in Gustav, so I cleared the gobs nearby while my LS member came to Gustav. We also had a WHM tag along.
L67 MNK/WAR, L61 WAR/THF, L46 WHM/???. We annihilated poor Goblinsavior. The WHM cured me once I think. I did my 2hr, the WAR did his 2hr, and it was just a beatdown. No bomb tosses at all!

Goblinsavior popped while I was levelling my lvl47BST in gustav. Wasn't sure how high-level he was and called on a couple of lvl 75's (blm + rng) who came and took him out, getting the axe drop.
They were nice enough to give it to me as well after the fight because neither of them could use it...I mean I can't either at the moment but I still feel special owning it.

I was soloing in Gustav when he spawned right next to my camp, and not knowing anything but that he was NM I asked my LS if they thought I could take it. And they said "possibly...it'll eat alot of your pets though." I left him alone cuz I'd just leveled, and an LS member who happened to be in the area, 55 rdm, invited me to a party and we duoed him. Took I think 5 or 6 pets, and about ten minutes. Rdm's enfeebles stuck very well, and Bind worked perfectly between pets. Got 3k apiece, 14 exp, the axe, a suit of goblin mail, a goblin helm, and a gold beastcoin. I won the lot on the axe and let him have the rest. Too bad I can't even use the weapon. Haha...

solod it as 61Nin/25Whm, real easy fight i evaded 95% of its attacks only damage i took was from a bomb toss that was for about 35damage. Didn't get the axe for my War sadly :(

There is no better G axe for a warrior at that level. This axe is probably decent for most warriors until 53.
Me and my buddy beat him when we were both level 47. Of course we are beastmasters... so we can take on stuff that most people would get killed by. He was a tough lil bugger... but we dropped him like a bad habbit.

Calling bull on BST to 49 solo in two weeks. Given that you're completely stupid, I'd say you might have gotten to 9 solo in two weeks, then ran away crying because you suck at BST. This guy is easy to solo, and any BST that actually got to 49 solo would be able to do it without much difficulty. Swapping between 3 leeches, maybe 10-20 minutes to drop him.

You obviously know nothing about the BST job. I solo'd Heronox last night as a Lv49 BST (got the axe and about 21k in loot and gil). Not duo'd, but solo'd. It took me over 25 minutes to kill him and I swapped between 4 different pets that were only DC to me.
This is the most absurd statement I've ever seen:

That statement leads me to believe that you're BSing about you having a Lv49 BST or that you never fully explored what the BST job is capable of... the prior being infinitely more likely, I'm sure. Running around scared of mobs higher level than you is not the way to excel at this job. BST, to me, is about having fun and trying to do the impossible. Sure, you may die trying How many other jobs can solo BCNMs? (yes, I've done that too). I can solo more exp than I can get in any good group. Note I said "good group." Sure, there are great groups where the exp is insane, but those are far and few in between.

my bro and i killed this NM...barely. Im a 58 rdm, and hes a 54 pld. the fight took us 5 minutes total..but we got the axe, gold bstcoin, and 4100 gil each. Not too bad, but not really worth camping unless u REALLY want the axe, being that it is Rare/Exclusive.

had an alliance of 12 around lvl 40 we managed to kill this dude but not after about half the bodies dropped off. We did excellent til the first person died. After that the domino effect started. he died and we got the drop but I had no use for it so...not that I think of it I should taken a screen shot but I dont even know how to get them after I take them anyway so it doesn't matter. Mean little sucker though that Gob.

I dont see this Great Axe in Jeuno AH on Valefor but insted there is a lvl 44 Great Axe called Kheten. Has this changed after the update?

The item is Rare and Exclusive, so it cannot be traded on the auction house. Anyone using this had to have been there when the goblin dropped it :)

i have often wondered what some of these names mean. and while i am totally lost on the japanese ones, the germanic ones i can figure out no problems. a german mother who ensured we'd learn german helped in that matter.
