Inventory Space/Elementary Day

Replying to Keyvan: This used to be a trick that was used.. have only one slot open, and harvest. If you can, you get an ore, if not, the lack of inventory space will block the multiple item harvest, so rinse and repeat. SE nerfed this over a year ago, so now, each attempted harvest with a full inventory counts as an examination, and multiple examinations during harvest season (a) will not change the harvest results, but however (b) will reduce your chances of getting any harvest at all.

Regarding the elementary day: The "elemental theory" (plant, feed and harvest all on the same day as the element you want) will probably build up too much elemental strength in your plants and ruin your chances for a truly superior harvest. I would recommend a harvest on any day except (a) the crystal day, or (b) a day that is strong to the crystal. I would also recommend examining twice a day during the growth period on various mixed days, so long as you do not examine on the day strong to the element used; the element of the day of examining also adds to or adjusts elemental strength of the plant.
did you find out..

Hello!,
I found out the following, when the mog house have only 2 space-items left is easy get the Wind Ore.

I Mean when you try pick up, appears the message:
You cannot pick up in this moment.

I had 5 porcelain flowerpot, and then the first harvesting was 46 windurstian tea leaves.
In that moment I have only 2 space left, the next pot appears the message that I cannot pick up.
Then I try the 3rd and get a wind ore.
then I try the other 2 and didnt let me pick up.

So I clean to have more space I got windurstian tea leaves from others.
I kept little space I try and try.. but seem the result is already fix in the game.
I didnt try wait another day and see if the result is change. But that gave me the idea that you can avoid waste a harvesting.

Please let me know if someone try it.

this is exactly why price will never drop and stay steady because no one is exactly sure when to plant feed and harvest thus the item is still rare in a sense plus u might not even get the ore your aiming for. So i feel if as many people post results and spread info it will cut down on some of these outlandish prices. On bismarck server wind ore goes for aboud 230k-250k.

Truthfully, it's your fault for spending $27.95 a month and investing all your profit into one markets, it's not like these recipees were really all that secret. And personally, I wish more ore were made, more staffs for us mages, and eventually the HQ of the lvl 74 rings will start to actually be made -.-
Price stayed the Same!

Even tho Allakhazam.com gives out the Recipes for All the ores fire, wind, water, ice, earth, dark, light, and lighting
the price on Cerberus Server are well staying the same or increasing it is because rich players don't really care about the prices and buy at the same it always was well its like this on Cerberus.

I'd also like to comment that I only added these recipes to the site within the last week. If people have been growing elemental ores and crashing your server prices in that amount of time please let me know how I can get in on this quickie harvest! These ore recipes are hardly a secret.

yes, please stop giving out recipes, so this poor fellow can keep making a profit, while the rest of you have to farm for hours to buy the results, cause everyone knows that he figured out the recipe for himself through determination, hard work, and thoughtful trial and error, and one day got lucky, found out that he could use porcelin pots, tree saplings, planted on a certain elemental day, feed the same elemental crystal, and harvested on its elemental day.

How inconsiderate of everyone to be placing hints and tips on message boards, designed to allow players to share HINTS and TIPS about the game. After all why should he suffer, he's only got a couple million in his pocket left before he runs out of gil.

Well you have to remember that if more people know the recipies that means more of them will be grown, thus causign more wind staves to be produced, thus causing more mages to have them. And if sharing the recipies will cause more players to be properly equipped it sounds like a good thing to me.

I'm going to start to garden these since my friend is teaching me how to. Btw, the prices must have dropped because on my server they are only worth 120-140K

Ok The Elemental ores are all obtainable through 3 ways. FIRST: is BCNM 60. Simply put, win the battle and you may get one.

The next 2 are much better methods for the poor player, however.

SECOND: CHOCOBO DIGGING

You have to get your chocobo digging skil;l up to a considferable level to do this (yes chocobo digging is like a guild with 10 skill lvls)
visit www.cannotlinkto/ffxi and click the chocobo digging section. It lists what can be dug there.

LAST and BEST BY FAR is GARDENING
the recipie is as follows.

You will need a PORCELIN POT + TREE SAPLING (note this is NOT cutting but sapling). Simply plant the seed in the porcelin pot in the mog house (preferably on dark day since that is the seeds element) and then add 2 crystals of the desired elementak ore color (IE: fire crystals for fire ore and wind crystals for wind ore) on the day of the crystal element. Then harvest on the elemental day of the ore you are going for and you will hopefully have your elemental ore. Btw these ALL sell for over 200K (so much for Leaping Lizzy hunting).

The downside of this method is as folows. You are not guarenteed an ore EVERY time. There IS a chance of getting lesser results (as with al;l gardening). And the biggie is that it takes approximately a REAL LIFE MONTH to grow these so don't do only one. Have a few going at once so that if one pot fails maybe another will succeed.

I have PERSONALLY grown a water/fire/ice/wind/earth ore and have yet to attempt the light/dark/lightning

so this DOES work. I now have 8 million gil from this with 6 mules over the past 3 months so i don't need the secret anymore. Plainly put it WORKS...albeit a little slow and not 100%. DO IT it is your road to riches :).
#REDACTED, Posted: Nov 23 2004 at 6:29 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) azna are you trying to ruin profits for all of us who need the money, stop posting on how to get the ores, let them find out for themselves

Just a thought...
It doesn't matter at what day you plant, feed or harvest as long as it's not the oposite of the elemental you try to get.

I plant on a various day, feed on earth day (since that's the day wind element is strong) and harvest on earthsday or any other day.

# Jul 13 2004 at 2:40 AM Rating: Decent
I was informed to only plant on darksday, and then feed the corresponding crystal on the corresponding day for the corresponding ore
(ie plant on darksday, on watersday, feed water crystal for eventual water ore).... truth?
RE: Ways to obtain this.
# Jun 28 2005 at 8:32 PM Rating: Decent
probably far off considering you have to...well, are capable of feeding them twice. So that either lacks some information or really means just use the first one.
If it is then...I still dont know. I suppose it's possible, ofcourse. Although it will still be luck.
