A good portion of the food crafts are simply there so you can raise your crafting skill. This seems to be one of those recipes.

ok, this recipe's seriously frustrating to get the stuff for, since you have to haul it halfway across Vana'diel to get all the stuff. For the Sticky Rice, you need to be a member of the Tenshodo to buy it from the shop. Gardenia seeds sell in Norg, but the Fresh Mugwort... I've heard you can farm it in West Sarutabaruta, but I'm not sure if that's true; there's NO WAY I'm shelling out 70k for just one stack >_<

Fresh Mugwort can be harvested in W Saru, but it's very rare. I spent a couple days out there when I was starting clothcraft and only got one.

+3 int seems pretty nice to me, and there are no negative stats, unlike pies.
and the VIT +2 can come in handy as well :)

I'm at level 94 cooking and can make these without many fails, they cap at 99.

I don't know the full recipe but I've seen the following ingredients lost while people synth these:
sticky rice

maple sugar
stick of cinnamon
and a fire crystal.
