Finally, a WAR that's keeping up with times, unlike the guy below me. This thing is best left for BSTs since we all know they are wanna-be WARs that can't berserk. Even then their jailor axe does more for them than this thing will over time.
If you you haven't got your Ridill or Joytoy yet, get yourself a Maneater to go with your Wood cuz chances are you're short of the cap on accuracy and every bit short of it hurts you with Rampage. As a WAR, you should have PLENTY of attack from zerk, food or songs for whatever walks your way and if you still don't- switch to GAXE my friend and Steel Cyclone away. It's that simple and sweet.

People talk too much about Juggernaut vs Wood, Juggernaut vs maneater, blah blah yada yada it's meaningless. Woods or maneater for main hand, juggernaut for off hand, period. It's the best off hand axe to have bar none and no amount of whining about it's price or the tiny difference in base dmg is going to change that. Any delay talk is meaningless when mr Woodsville over there is packing the same exact delay. You can either go with Woods main for max WS damage or maneater main for ONE BASE DMG less difference of 49, and have that +acc and +att, but having both is no match for what a juggernaut can bring to the off hand slot with 30 more attack. If you're going to go kill too weak sh*t then woods/maneater wins but if it's going to be exp mobs with high defense or endgame stuff, you better believe that juggernaut wins out and is why it commands the kind of money it does.

You can always bank on a bard being around but we all know a bard is a dime a dozen. If you want to be the best until you can get a hold of a joy or rid, you need this axe, woods and maneater for situational use, no questions asked. If you don't let yourself get caught up in such competition, more power to you for putting your foot down and playing the way you see fit.

This now drops from 99 KSNM "Early Bird Catches the Wyrm" And has about a 7% drop rate. + it no longer drops 100% off the NM now... I highly doubt that the price will go down unless hundreds of people go out and do a bunch of 99 KSNM's.
I'll prol be doing one of these soon to get the axe so I hope that it will drop. If not maybe buy it with the earnings.

Personally I have Woodvilles and Maneater for axes.
I tried a Juggernaut once and was not impressed. Parsed, Woodvilles/Juggernaut and Woodvilles/Maneater give out almost identical numbers- though over 20 fights for each I had a bit of an edge on Maneater, probably because it's faster and +12 attack over Maneater just isnt that noticable when my attack is already way above the mob's defense.
A lot of people just don't get that the latent on Maneater makes it far more useful than one might think when seeing the stats and not the hidden stats.
More ACC, +18 attack, and 3 higher base dmg as well as a lot better delay than Juggernaut actually give Maneater the advantage.
What do you gain over Maneater with Juggernaut? 3 str, 12 attack.
But what do you lose? 5 accuracy, 3 base dmg, and you have noticably higher delay.
Put that in your pipe and smoke it, people who pay 18 mil for an axe that can be competed with by one one sixth that price.
However, Maneater with Juggernaut offhand on very high defense mobs might not be that bad an idea. You're gaining +48 attack with that setup and have a 49 dmg, +18 attack, +5 acc axe on your main hand.
Woody/juggernaut is by no means a bad choice though. Just not worth 18 mil IMO.
Oh and if you're main-handing this with 2 axes...you suck. Simple as that.

Jugg/Joy(Ridill) is best combo for an axe wielding war. If you say otherwise go kill yourself
I will have to disagree, I feel that Woodville/Maneater would work best if duel wielding axes, or maneater/rid(or joy) would work well for multi-hit rampage burns. The woodville's is good for the -magic cast time but maneater has a strong attack, great hidden effect, and is also a lot faster then jugg.

Bought it for 17.5 million. No regrets. Actually routinely stole hate while TPing Mistral Axe on Kirin just meleeing him with these two weapons. The +44 combined ATK, +16 ATK from Axe merits, +12 ATK from Warrior Mufflers, and +12 ATK from Bomb Core is more then enough to pound through his or any other of the sky god's defense.

It's not as bad as on Siren as other servers it seems.. Still selling sometimes under 20m, still expencive but not as out of hand as 50m O.o Still going to try this axe out, if I need the gil later I can always sell :)

I agree with Astoopidname. The price alone makes me choke. As for a Warrior(me) I support tank for NIN, so he/she can cast shadows when the enemy goes "freak nasty". It's a great axe, But I would not pay that if that Axe said WAR only. lol

A great axe is a 2-handed bladed weapon. Dmg is 1d12, critical x3 on 20 only.

This NM will call every orc in the room which could make the fight difficult. It's hits steal TP as well. So clearing the room is a good idea. as far as the cost. HNMLS that camp it usually sell it or give it to a member... so, 3-7day pop, lets say 50/50 chance of someone selling it, that makes the axe kinda rare.
And as for camping it. You would need some awfully good friends that would just let you have a 15-35M item^^
Anyway, just my thoughts and experiences.

Ok, so supposively this thing has a 100% drop rate, why is it do high? It's only level 77, along with other NMs and crap has Rare/ex stuff, I see them get it and the NMs are level 85ish, it must be the +30 attack as an excuse to jump the price a bit
THe nm pops every 5-7 days. Thats a good reason for a high price.

Ok Im a lvl 40 warrior and i drool everytime i see this thing, so i finally got off my butt and check ah price, 15mil. I about dropped dead... Now I drool even more everytime i see it, I want it So damn bad, but thinking about the price of it and haub and possible scorp harness, I'm gonna go very poor very fast.

I believe the Juggernaut is a 100% drop rate from this HNM. But, he's one tough dude.
I was tanking him for a friend of mine and he hits semi-fast with some powerful blows. He did a double attk followed by a TP move, forgot the name, and took my HP to 200 but luckily the WHm flashed him just in time for me to recast Utsusemi: Ni and destroy with Jin ^_^.
Althought the fight is hard and almost long, depending on how many DDs you have, the drops are well worth it. I think the Juggernaut is about 8 mil in Kujata. 8 Mil divided 6 ways isn't that bad.

Lately I've also been hearing that say Juggernaut + company sword would be a great combo
and that pre 100TP juggernaut + maneater is far better than woodville's axe.
I'll have to buy Maneater and Company sword when I reach lvl and test this out.

Actually...There's a nice mix for the best weapon combo for a WAR.
WAR has a B+ I believe in Sword so it isn't all that terrible (Or B-...One of the two). That and if you consider the Suppanomimi and Merits, the lack in the Sword skill can be fixed.

The rating we have with Sword doesn't put it down as a crappy weapon but something we can take advantage of with gear and merit points when the time comes. A high dmg Axe and a Sword that can deal decent damage along with a chance of attacking 2-3 times helps the TP build and if you're in a party where speed is everything, then you have more chances to spam Rampages.

acctually its not. Maybe soloing EPs or Too weaks kraken club is better, but for anything greater than a EP, ridill and this is better.
You have spirits within too with ridill, you don't with a kraken

i was with my linkshell last night on asura and we got trashed by this mob having atleast 10 70+ and a few others we got the juggernaut and that is "the axe" to have with this axe war/nin can out dmg rng's
Since wars can't get the relic axe (Bst only) this would defintely be a end game axe for a war/nin, just the +30atck alone could make you a DD to watch out for

im war.nin and sandorian, been saving for this bad boy, at lvl 66 i have +60 attack and this and my rvse cpt pick bump me up to another 40 attack and when im 68 and get thick armor :-) ill be a hell of a damage dealer

I've always thought that Rare just meant it is a NM drop or...well just a rare drop. And the EX meaning exclusive means that you can only have 1 and it can't be sold.

Actually Rare means you can technically have only one of that item.
Ex means you cannot trade or sell that item to the AH or players.
You can actually have multiple rare items if you send them to yourself and they are in your delivery box. This will not work with Rare/Ex items because they are non-transferable.

As a War/Nin myself, I envy the person that has one of these badass axes. I'm just thinking about the attack they would have.... Berserk, Warcry and Aggressor... Wow, that's some serious hurt right there.
