currently guessing the trigger for all the latent effects I can find.
this is a very watery item, HQ shells, water resist, so I'll randomly guess that this triggers when you are hit with a water spell, or when you're fighting a fire-type mob.

Nah, I believe it kicks in on low hp. I don't know just how low, however.
