I need one of these for my Puppetmaster's RNG type Automaton. I've been camping AH for almost a week and it only appears when I'm at work. Any suggestions on how to find one a bit more easily?

I offer over 250k or more to a crafter that can make one. It's been selling for 70k on Jeuno AH (Cerberus).. I've almost exhausted my efforts and really don't want to quit a job cuz of this.

It's just an item. You don't need it.

well, yes he does need it for the RNG type Automaton - you can't get it without one. ^^

Anyway, what I did for this bow (and for other hard to get items): Look at who's selling them. If someone's sold a few of them, they're probably crafting them, maybe even have a few in their bazaar. Just make a note of the names, and check to see if they're online. I just did this, and found someone to craft it for me if I brought the ingredients to them (thanks Crimsonshadow!).
It'll be a little more expensive, as they're normally sold at a loss (crafters are aiming for the big bucks HQ Machine Bow) but not much - about 40k+ tip for me (selling for 25k at AH).

Good luck

Willow

You don't know what you are talking about. The DoT on this surpasses the E-bow. It's horribly expensive to operate though as it inhales ammo.

But then if you can't afford to be a RNG, don't be a RNG lol.

Adjust the resolution of menus.
The main screen resolution for "FINAL FANTASY XI" is dependent on the "Overlay Graphics Resolution" setting.
If the Overlay Graphics Resolution is set higher than the Menu Resolution, menus will be automatically resized.

I thought of it first:

Um... bs. The only two non-relic weapons that can keep up with ebow are culverin, which requires a very altered setup, and hellfire+1 (which is only better on some mobs).

What about Sleep Bolts? Un-expected aggro, macro this crossbow and sleep bolts, and its out cold, every time it wakes up, do it again, sleep ALMOST ALWAYS lands with Bolt/Arrow, unless its resisted.

This would be a kinda fun/quick way to keep marksmanship capped. Just pull this out with some cheap bolts and by the end of the fight you may be capped. You wont do enough damage to kill the creature before you get significant Skill-ups.

I just thought that might by a fun little use for it.^^

I just bought this xbow, I got sick of camping for the Loxely Bow. I love this bow, especially for farming and camping. The full effect of bloody bolts and holy bolts are always there. Whoever thinks that xbow's suck is on crack.

I agree entirely, I'm not high enough for this bow yet, but when I can I'm planning on getting it. It's not just how much damage you're doing with the weapon that counts, but also how much TP you're getting all the time. I can just imagine how fast I'd be building TP with this thing... =O

Wouldn't an HP drain bolt work good? Or even a Holy bolt, which deals light damage?
