1: It's obtained in Dynamis Bastok. NOT Dynamis Sandoria as this page once said.
2: It reduces the physical damage your wyvern takes by 5%, NOT the dmg the dragoon takes.
3: Enhances High Jump effect relates to the ammount of hate shed. Macro swap this in spam parties where you pull too much hate. Not dying > miniscule TP boost from Baron/Conte Cosciales.
4: If you wear this full time. QUIT THE GOD DAMN JOB. YOU'RE RETARDED.
5: It doesn't matter what you call it, as long as others understand you. Quit fighting over something so miniscule.
The preceding info is FACT. I have tested the effect myself, and it seems to shed aproximately 500 points of damage. This means that awesome double attack high jump you just did for 600 damage will not shed hate. This number is just a rough estimation based on my own personal use of the item. Effects may vary.

I guess this point isnt valid anymore since the update. As far as I see it, 1STR = 1att and 1 DEX = 1 acc on 2-handed weapons measn this legs give +5 acc technically. And +5 acc on legs isnt too bad lol

I hate to say it, but I agree with omasthedragoon. It's LONG past the time that you people should just stop bickering over trivial matters. It doesn't really matter what it is, just drop it. And if you wanna pull that "well this NPC requests a piece of RELIC armor, but does/doesn't accept this as such...." arguement, then to you I say woopy Fu*kin' do!

good god people seem to have no lives. check any vana diel map online that involves the lvl 50-60 artifact and it will say "DRG AF2 ???" pointing to the area that you pop the mob for the armor. loads of space was wasted on these posts because i highly doubt anyone /really/ cares what its call so long as they get it and can use it. whoever all said it was right, it goes by both names to different people. mostly its slang made up by people that became widely used and thought to be the "correct" way of stating it.
How does it affect High Jump? Plain, simple.

I would think that it makes High Jump shed more hate. That is the "effect" of high jump. The damage is more secondary, I'd think.

I can't offer a definitive answer for you, because I don't think there really is a way to prove this.
When I got this, I started asking all the DRGs I knew what it could possibly mean. I checked for myself, and what it DOESN'T mean is:

I average about 140-180 normally, but I've gone as high as 550 (Both without the benefit of 'Enhanced Jump/HJ Effect') I guess if ya wanna do 100 Jumps with ur AF on and 100 Jumps with ur AF off to test this theory and compile all that info....
Personally, as DRG/SAM, it's not worth it. I get +2 STR, +5 Attack and +1 TP extra with barone leggings on rather than these, so it's not worth the change to me. But for S&Gs sake, clarity/closure would be appreciated. I'm just too lazy and don't care enough to do it myself.

no well see, i call it relic armor or epic armor, becuse when you talk about AF2 when you walk around 75, not everyone is thinking drops in dynamis but maybe the quest for another job, so i just make things less complacated and call it those, and if people ask i simple tell them "its relic armor that drops inside dynamis" there problem solves xD

i would also like to hear less about AFv2/Relic and more about how this affects High Jump, etc etc... if u have noticed any differences in hate lost or anything, post so we can go play more FFXI >_> just a thought.

This is definately a point of confusion. I personally just recieved the Wyrm Greaves from Dynamis San d'Oria. This drops from the mobs in Bastok.

Im starting to think this armor is wyvern friendly, about all of it only helps the wyvern.

what he means is getting drops is hard with a bunch of people because that decreases YOUR chance of getting the item, but it's easier with more people since you get MORE drops from killing MORE mobs with MORE people, giving you more chances to get the item you are after.

The first site I saw this stuff on (which happened to be Mystery Tour) classified the Armor AND Weapons as Relic Gear. AF2 is just easier to understand what people are talking. It's not AF2, it's Relic. It's also NOT at the AH, it's a Rare/Ex item. You get it in Dynamus, I think. Probably a very rare drop.

When I posted that, was around when Dynamis was FIRST made, and everyone called it RELIC. AF2 back in the day referred to your second AF Quest.
As the other guy said, it's both correct in the end.

Thanks its glad to see that somebody knows what they're talking about. If anybody else still thinks its "relic" like the weapons keep in mind certain "relic" weapons can be used by multiple jobs and the armor that drops in dynamis (AF2) cant.

Facts:
1) it IS Rare/Ex.
2) it CAN be called BOTH names Relic or AF2 because the only ppl that are concerned with it are the ppl over lvl 60, and they arent dumb enough to mix it up with the AF you get from lvls 52-60.
3) it is ONLY obtained in Dynamis.
Now if your gunna bitch about something, make it about these pants and not relic/AF2 bullsh*t. I'm sick and tired of reading up on items and seeing random flame posts about things that have nothing to do with the thing your looking at. Go to a place where they actually care about what you have to bitch about you dumbass.
